you know i believe and how
The car ride felt unbelievably short. Cas never wanted to make it to his house; he would rather stay in the car with Dean for hours on end, but the undeniably terrifying talk with his father had to come at one point.
They arrived at his house and stalled for time before getting out of the Impala. Before they got out, Cas turned to Dean. "If he starts getting violent, we run."
Dean hesitated for a moment before nodding. He leaned forward and captured Cas's lips, kissing them gently. Then they pulled away and got out of car. The pair walked up to the Novak household and knocked on the door which was opened in a matter of seconds where a very pissed off looking Mr. Novak stood. Cas would say that he looked pissed, but honestly, his face was stone cold and emotionless which was so, so much worse.
Mr. Novak glared at Dean with the utmost hatred. Even Dean, who rarely ever looked afraid, seemed absolutely petrified.
"Come in." Mr. Novak spat.
They both walked in. Cas resisted the urge to grab Dean's hand; he knew that it would most likely only make things worse than they already were... If that were possible, that is.
Everyone went into the living room where Mrs. Novak and fucking Hester were sitting. Cas never felt the urge to strangle someone more than he did in this exact moment. He glowered at Hester, putting in every ounce of strength he had to make it clear that he despised her. Hester flushed and looked away.
Cas sat on the couch as far from Hester as possible, Dean sat down next to him, looking incredibly uncomfortable.
"Hester, why don't you tell Castiel and Dean here what you told me?" Mr. Novak growled.
Hester's eyes widened a little. She looked nervously at Dean with all of his muscle before she started. "Castiel... I... I'm sorry, but it had to be done. You are sinning and I love you enough to save you from eternal damnation-"
"It's Cas."
"W-What?" Hester stuttered.
Cas turned to her and glared. "It's Cas, not Castiel."
Hester furrowed her eyebrows while Dean silently laughed.
"Let her finish, Castiel!" Mr. Novak shouted.
Hester winced but continued. "I had t-to tell them that you..." she glanced around uncomfortably. "I had to tell them about what you have been doing with that Winchester boy-"
"I'm right here, you know." Dean muttered.
Mr. Novak shot daggers at Dean with his eyes so he went quiet again.
Hester also glared at Dean and continued. "I had to tell them that you're a homosexual. I don't know whether Winchester got to you or what, but you need to be fixed."
"Excuse me?" Dean growled at her.
Hester narrowed her eyes at him as if she were daring him to continue.
"It's not like you can decide whether you're gay or not and he doesn't need to be fixed. Cas is still the same Cas you knew before you found out that we fucked each other."
Everyone gasped at this, Cas tried not to laugh. He reached over and slipped his hand into Dean's which was sweating excessively, but he wasn't the only one.
Mr. Novak glowered at their hands holding each other, but before he could speak, Mrs. Novak interrupted. "You don't need to do this, Castiel. God can forgive you for your sins. We can fix you. I've heard of treatments that can help you get better. You don't need to be with this Winchester boy."
