'This isn't my Maze'
And then Y/N jumped up from the med-bed, ignoring the tremendous pounding in her head. She then pushed past the astonished Harriet and Sonya, and left the room looking for anything, anyone, familiar. The shouting voices from the two leaders were only words on the wind, for Y/N could not hear anything but the roaring blood in her ears and the fast pounding of her heart. 'Newt!', was her first thought as she swung open a sturdy wooden door, 'Where's Newt?!'

The door led to the outside world, or ,so to say, an exact replica of the Glade. Four gigantic walls surrounded the area, trees that made up a forest in one corner, crops in another, and numerous oddly-shaped buildings were everywhere else. Just like the Glade. "Newt!", the H/C haired girl screamed into the air, causing many eyes to turn in her direction. "Where's Newt?!"
"Hey", Harriet and Sonya came running out from behind her, Harriet shouting at her, "calm down, Stick!". By now, other people, all girls, had come to see the new arrival's outburst. Y/N was beyond confused, scared and worried by now. She survived another night in the maze, woke up in a similar, yet completely different, area as the Glade, and now doesn't know where any of her friends and brothers are! The girl looked wildly about, trying to spot either a tall blonde with deep brown eyes, or a boy with dark skin, or a a well-built boy with really cool eyebrows! But nothing, no one...

"Where are they?", Y/N cried out as panic started to weave through her body like a needle with thread. "Where's Newt...and Alby and Gally and Minho and Ben an-".
"Calm down, would ya?", Sonya asked as calmly as possible, "We don't know who those people are. Just calm down and come back inside. We need to ask you a few questions".
But Y/N was too worried and hysterical to listen to what the red-head had to say. "Where are my friends? Where am I? This isn't my maze! This isn't-", but all of a sudden, it's as if somebody turned off a light switch. Because everything had suddenly gone black.

"Dr, she's woken up!"
Dr Paige walked over to the screen to see the girl in question blink herself awake. The Dr stood in silence as she surveyed her former assistant. 'Why did you have to betray me,
Y/N?', she thought sadly, remembering the day they had to brainwash her. The day they sent her up to the Maze. She had been sending information to her enemies! She had betrayed W.C.K.D! She deserved to be sent to, what that 'Newt' boy called it, that hellhole!

But as Dr Ava Paige looked at her former assistant, the girl that was like a daughter to her, she felt that awful, mixed feeling of regret and sorrow within her twisted gut. Y/N should've been shot that day, the day she was found out, but Ava couldn't bring herself to do it. It would've killed her if she did it, order the murder of her favourite worker. So she sent her up, brainwashed the poor girl and sent her up.
"Are you all right, Dr?"
The woman nearly died of a heart attack when she heard Janson's husky voice from beside her. She hadn't even hear him enter the room! Ava shook her head, clearing her head of thoughts, and suddenly realised something that Janson had picked up on.
She was crying.

The Dr never cried now-a-days, so for her to shed a few tears was quite astonishing! The memories of Y/N were obviously too much for her and so brought that steel wall of hers down for maybe a second or two. Those tears showed something, and that was that she cared. Cared very deeply for the girl Runner and that if anything happened to her...she didn't want to think if the things she would do for being so stupid. "Yes, Janson. I am all right, just early mornings aren't my thing", was all the Dr said as she hastily dried away the salty tears from her wrinkly and sunken cheeks.

Janson didn't question it, only turned his face back to the screen to monitor what was happening. "I'm assuming the boys found her?", the rat-like man asked as his eyes scanned all the monitors in the room. "Well, I'm assuming so. I didn't see her get carried away from the doors but she is safe now, so I am assuming they did. What do you think, Janson?", Ava replied cooly, regaining her quiet, yet intimidating, composure. Janson didn't reply, only continued staring at the screens with a neutral look on his thin face.
