-Your P.O.V-
A nurse ran in with shock and disbelief.
"Y-Your a-awake"she stuttered and ran out.
"W-what" I asked and looked down at Chris. He was smiling and tears began to fill his eyes
"Y-You were walking back from the mall..a-after you...broke up with me, and when you were on your way home crossing the street a car almost hit you. B-But if it weren't for that stranger who pushed you out of the way you would have died instantly." He explained while petting my hand.
"How did..how did I end up, h-here" I question
"Well I guess when you fell you hit your head really hard on the cement curb and it put..put you, y-you into, a..a coma" he stated. Tears began to fill my eyes.
It was all just a dream, Maze, Shasta, Camille, Cason, Winter, and everything and everyone? All of it was just a figment of my imagination?!
"W-Wait then why did I break up with you" I said sadly
He looked down for a few seconds and said, "w-well you were at the mall with Emily and Hazel, you saw me and you thought that I was doing drugs again... I ran up to you to explain, but you kept yelling at me and then ran out the mall..and then, you know" he looked back down in shame of his tears.
"I wasn't doing drugs y/n, I was just giving them back..I needed m-money, because I was...I" he laughed a little,"I was going to use it to buy you a promise ring"
His words hit me like a steak to the heart
"I....I" I tried to speak but the words weren't coming out
"I know" he said,"it's okay y/n, it's okay" he looked at my hand and then looked at me. I look at my hand and found a small silver ring around my ring finger. Instantly the tears fled out of me.
Chris stood up and hugged me, I hugged him back. My breathe began to hitch as I cried harder and harder. He too began to sob.
Just my luck, a doctor walked in.
"Miss y/l/n" the doctor asked
Chris let go of me and wiped the tears from his face as so did I.
"Y-Yeah" I answered
"I can see you're recovering unusually fast...we are going to run a few tests to make sure your body is in good shape and function, alright?" He said
"Oh, okay" I replied "c-can um, Chris stay with me"
The doctor sighed and stared at his clip-board,"fine" he sighed,"...only because we haven't heard back from any of your family members".
A nurse walked in with a tray of cotton swabs, little plastic tubes to put the swabs in, a syringe, sanitation wipes and a band-aid.
-Time Skip (20 min)-
While the doctor took my tests and and checked my heart rate and everything, Chris patiently explained everything to me.
• I was in a coma for a month and a half
• he was the first person to find me
• He's visited me everyday and spent the night on the weekends
• My brother still doesn't know where I am
•my dad is dead
•my brother has full custody of me
•I'm stuck in the hospital for two more weeks
• I'm alive and real
