Chapter 32: My Brother

-Your p.o.v-

It's officially been one week. The doctors have been keeping an eye on me a lot. It's as if they think I'm going to die. Still, they haven't gotten a hold of my brother but boy I've been hearing some stuff about him.

Our dad was a pretty important man but when he died my brother was forced to move in and take care of me. I'm not saying it was bad for him though, you should have saw his place. Also he gets the house for free, and it's all paid by the government until he can get a high enough paying job to afford the house bills.
But I don't want to go near him, I'm afraid to go back there, with Stephan (AN: that's your brother's name).

Right now I'm watching the news, Chris is at school right now but he's coming to see me tonight.

"Miss y/l/n" the nurse asked,"someone's here to see you"

I look over towards the nurse

No, I thought, no this can't be real...no! I began to secretly pinching my leg to see if it were a dream.

"I thought I'd never find you" Stephan said as he walked towards me. He gave me a big hug.

"I'll leave you two alone" the nurse said as she left the room.

Someone help me please, I thought to myself again.

"I was so scared y/n" Stephan whispered,"I thought I would never see you again" he rested his nose on my forehead and kissed my head.

A tear slid down my cheek

"Why are you crying y/n" he asks

"I'm not, th-there just h-happy tears c-cause I've missed y-you s-so much" I lied while putting on a fake smile.

"Awe I missed you too sissy" he said while sitting on the chair and holding my hand.

It was silent for a moment, he just stared into my eyes

"When do you get out" he asked

"Next week" I said and wiped the tears from my face with my free hand.

"You wanna go visit dad when you get out"

"No thanks" I replied

"How about we walk around the hospital, get you moving around, what do you say" his grip tightened a little bit on my hand

"Sure" I nodded

Stephan helped me out of bed and put my IV on the weird intravenous thing so I can walk around. The tile floor was pretty cold but I can get used to it.

The whole time we were walking around the hospital Stephan caught up on everything I missed. Like he got a promotion at his job as the assistant manager. He also got all the paper work finished to send me back to school. And the person that pushed me out of the way of the car is still alive.

When Stephan had to leave he gave me a necklace that had a tiny silver heart charm on it.

-7:30pm-

"Y/N, you awake" Chris asked as he walked in

"No I'm dead" I said with sarcasm

He kissed me on the cheek and sat down next to me.

"Y/n" he asked

"Yeah"

Chris reached for my hand with the ring," we're still together right"

"Of course we are, I'm sorry I missed judged you okay and I'm sorry I thought you were doing drugs" I said to him

Chris smiled so brightly,"I was so worried you weren't going to remember me when you woke up" a tear rolled down his cheek," I was so afraid you weren't going to wake up....I was so sad baby"

As he was talking to me I as well got teary eyed

He sat himself in the hospital bed with me and as time went by I fell asleep in his arms, safe and alive.
