I scream in agony
While you grin at me
Obliviously
I guess this is the world we live in
While you stare at me with that stupid grin
The pain makes my vision spin
What good are eyes if you can't see the hurt in mine
What good are ears if you can't hear me when I say
I'm not okay oh no I'm far from being fine
My world is slipping out of my control
Or maybe it was you pulling at the reigns all along
Yeah you shattered my spirit, heart, and soul!
Its official! I fell off the edge and crossed the line
You ignored or didn't hear my pleas every time
Oh how dare you tell me it'll all be fine!
Oh you smile at me
While I die in misery
Hopelessly
I dare you to give me an explanation
For your mindless endless dedication
To break this already broken nation
Please pretty please explain to me
Why slander and violence come oh so naturally
When we were all born equally
Do you not see their bodies dropping in pain
Their lifeless faces watching the blood drain
A kid's heart can only take so much strain
Oh why oh why do the names make you stand tall
A slap in the face with every name that you call
How do you ignore the cries or can't you hear them at all?
