From long cold days I shiver
As the warmth begins to wither
Tonight if the fire dies
Then I'll become friends with the flies
Determined I continue on
And pray for the warmth of dawn
Perhaps the ice will unfreeze
And I'll witness a spring breeze
Soon if the seasons do not change
I'll have to cross the mountain range
Of blizzards and frozen emotions
Guided only by some vague notions
But that I suppose is life
Filled with both fun and strife
As we all explore the world's unknown
Until we rest beneath our gravestone
And so I travel this frozen land
With questions I don't understand
But with daylight the sky is glowing
So I really must keep going
