Under dark and troubled skies
Let no perfidious veil
Hinder those of wary eyesMay gods above strip me bare
To my pure ivory bones
If I might step without careFor my enemies now hunt
Deviously cackling
With teeth that are never bluntAnd under no corrupt crest
May a soldier of virtue
Nor brother of my heart rest
