(Kyra's P.O.V.)
It was three o' clock in the afternoon and Aurora told me she was on her way over. It was Wednesday that day, and that meant that I had church at 6 that night. I had dressed in my best casual clothes. A crocheted, cream colored beret lay atop my head. My glasses were tucked behind my ears and I was wearing a cream-colored trapeze top underneath a black lace shrug. I also wore rhinestoned jean shorts, and sequined black hi-tops.
Aurora texted me that she was about 3 minutes away from my house. I grabbed my phone and walked outside, then sat on the back of the convertible in our driveway. While I was out there, I looked around at all of the trees, the bushes, the grass. I wasn't so much focusing on the nature, just thinking about random things. I'm really going to see Aurora. Finally. After it's been over a year, I'm going to see my best friend again. I couldn't believe it.
The thought of it was completely flabbergasting. Hehe. Flabbergasting, I thought. That's a pretty funny word.
There it was. A car pulled into the driveway. Through the glass, I could make out two figures. Aurora and her mother.
