RECAP:
She now sat facing him next to his knee and he watched her wondering if she would turn out to be just like Lilia or if she would actually be sincere.

Kael paused before he spoke.
“If I may ask; why is this so important to you? None of the other women here actually feel the same.”
He looked at her face and watched confusion flit across her fine features.
“Well, Mama and I never wanted to be here. You see Mama stayed because of the queen, out of fear of what she could do. She never said what but the queen had done something that put a scar across many hearts here in the city.” She said with her voice fading out as she gazed into nothing.
She quickly shook her head and looked at him locking her pale green eyes on his face.
“Well i want to go get a few things at the market and maybe go train. If you care to join me you may.” She said hesitantly not sure of his reaction.
She started to rise pushing herself up with her hands next to her knees and rose with her legs still crossed. She stood shakily and clutched onto the cloak that flowed over her petite frame. She slowly pulled a long strand of hair out of her eyes and absently tucked it behind her Elvin ear.
“Would you like to come in and we can continue our chat after I change?” she said but ending so it posed as a question. Kael contemplated spending more time with her as she seemed sincere but was hesitant to take a jump as he didn’t want to be let down once more. He looked up at her still fragile state and made his decision.
“Alright, I shall spend some more time with you.” He said lifting his taught frame off the floor, dusting off his leather pants that sculpted over the curve of his statuesque rear. She nodded turning to walk and he followed, watching her bare feet pad silently across the hard stones.
She managed to move gracefully while missing all the cracks and obstacles of grass as she went. He looked up quickly to see her opening a seared wooden door set in the white washed wall behind where they were sitting.
He watched her walk in and spin slightly, as fluidly as the dancers on the square, to end up next to the door holding it open for him with her head bowed politely and her eyes on the floor.
He noted her consideration as he bowed his dark silky haired head to fit through the small door and walked into a room that had a low set roof of wooden beams that ran from wall to wall and what he assumed coupled as the floor for the upstairs when he noticed the stair way in front of him which was built on a side wall of cobble stone.
There was also a cobble stone fireplace in the far wall with a low mahogany table moved near it surrounded by two long plush red recliners that had dark wooden eagle claws as legs. He looked away to his right where he found a small kitchen area with neat bowls of food stacked around, all complementing the rest of the house as it was all a fusion of cobblestone and various types of wood.
Some areas even had delicate engravings or murals in them. Kael walked to the fire; its embers faintly glowed, dying as they consumed all the fuel left in its path. He began to stack thin dry twigs on it attempting to breathe new life into the greying embers and create fine flames.
The fire began to catch and he carefully positioned bigger logs on them until the flames consumed the wood and began to crackle and grow. He sank down to his haunches and his body soaked in the fires growing warmth.
He rubbed his strong yet soft tanned hands together warming them. Strands of his midnight hair fell gently into his face but he made no move to control them. He then heard the soft scraping sound of the door closing and continued to gaze into the glowing buds of flame that had begun to bloom and twine through the air.
