One Step Closer To Home

It's dark outside and I'm sitting down leaning on a tree. Lance is doing the same across from me. We haven't spoken in a while ever since he did that. I can't believe he did that. I don't like him like that. I mean, don't get me wrong, he is good looking but I can't he is the enemy.

"Haley. I'm sorry." Lance said looking at me.

"It's fine. Just don't ever do that again. Okay?" I say awkwardly.

"Yeah, that's fine with me." He said chuckling a little.

You must be wondering that things would be awkward between us, well you are correct. We just push it aside and continue with our lives. I guess?

"So I guess we need to get going. I'm pretty sure you want to get home pretty soon." He said getting up and walking over to help me up. I gladly took his hand.

We started walking again. Should I let him help me? I feel like I ask this all the time but who could blame me? It's all I think about now. First, he kidnaps me. Next, he tries to be my friend. Then, he helps me and wants to help me get out of this hell hole. After that, he betrays me and beats the shit out of me. Then, he keeps this while thing from me when I had amnesia. Now he was trying to help me but on a mission to kill me but he doesn't because he really wants to help me get home. I just can't. What am I going to do? Should I tell on him when I get home? I don't know. Maybe. We will just I've to see.

"Well here we are. This is he lake I was talking about." Lance said while extending his arm to show me.

"Wow it's honestly beautiful." I say mesmerized by the gorgeous scene in front of me.

"Well here is the boat to get to the other side. Care to join me?" He said with a smirk.

He climbed in and extended his hand. I giggled and put my hand in his as he guided me to getting in. We sat our bags down and started to row to make the boat move.

3 Hours Later

We are walking around not knowing where we are going. I think we are lost because we are in the middle of no where in the woods. It's early in the morning and it's chilly outside. I have goose bumps up and down my arms and this cold wind isn't helping it. I cross my arms over me to try and cover myself from the cold but it also wasn't helping.

"Are you cold?" Lance asked.

"Just a little." I say.

"Here take my hoodie." He says as he grabs it out of his bag.

"No I'm fine. You don't have to do that." I said.

"Nah, I insist. It's the least I can do." He says with a small smile.

I give him a small smile back and take it. I put it on and I'm instantly engulfed by his cologne. It smells just like Lance. I inhale and Lance looks at me weirdly before he busted out laughing.

"What's so funny?" I asked.

"You just sniffed my hoodie." He says laughing loudly.

"I did not." I say smacking his arm.

"Yes you did." He says trying to catch his breath before he starts to mock me.

"No I didn't!" I say crossing my arms, turning away from him, and poking out my bottom lip.

"Hey I'm just messing with you." He says coming up behind me.

I just shake my head and jokingly pout.

He wraps his arms around my waist and press my back to his chest. He rested his chin on the top of my head.
I wish we could stay like his forever because honestly I like this. A lot.

After a few minutes of comfortable silence we decided to keep moving. We finally made it to the airport and now we are on our way to getting on the plane. I hope Tiger and Candy aren't going to stop us. I also hope that Lance isn't betraying and lying to me again. As we sit down in our seats on the plane, I can't help but to look around and wonder how I could've gotten from America to Australia without anyone noticing that there was something wrong.

Lance nudge my shoulder, cutting off my thoughts. I fell side ways dramatically and ended up hitting one of the stewardess. She just gave me this dirty look and continued her job. Me and Lance just laughed. We got comfortable , the best way we could, in our seats and was ready for take off. A little while after that, the plane finally took off and we are in the air and the lights are dim. Some people are sleeping and some are just chatting away about life. As for Lance and I, we are just listening to music. I have my head laying on his shoulder and he has his head resting on mine. This old couple beside us just keeps looking at us and smiling. I think they think we are a couple but I don't know. A lot of people think we are but I don't see it.

After taking a bunch of selfies with Lance, we decided to go to sleep because we have a long flight ahead of us. And that is just what we did.
