Leah's POV.
I woke up early because I heard the house phone ring. As I get up to go answer it my dad answers it instead.
"Hello?........ I thought John was in California....... They will be here tomorrow morning........ Okay so how much money is this dude talking about?........ They have Haley!...... Okay I will go down to the station tomorrow and we will sort all of this out........ Thanks for telling me and tell him not to worry that we will get her back safe and sound." He says and hangs up.
He walks back into his room where mom is and they start talking. O can't help but only here the conversation that he just had. They have Haley. She's alive. Oh, I hope she is okay. Please be okay Haley. Your coming home.
I run into my room and call Austin but he doesn't pick up. Of course he doesn't. We broke up a long time ago. It was my fault but he shouldn't be like this. This is about Haley not me.
Austin's POV.
I was hanging out with Connie at the park when Leah called. I haven't talked to her since the incident back in Australia. She didn't believe me and I didn't believe myself either but when she didn't remember me, I knew she was gone forever. I gave up on her. I started to give up on everything. Leah and I fought all the time after that. She accused me of taking things and that we should take a break. After that she ignored me and she didn't want to be with me anymore. So I was heartbroken and Connie helped me get better. She reminded me of Haley. After a while we started dating. If Haley was here she would love her.
Connie had brown hair that had each waves but went to the top of her rib cage. She has blonde highlights. She has the gorgeous blue eyes. She has the perfect tan skin and a beautiful smile. She is wearing high wasted ripped light blue jeans shorts with a black tank top on. She had a white cardigan over it and she had black angel boots to match it. She has sunglasses on to keep the sun out of her eyes.
She takes my snap back off my head and put it on hers and leans back on the bench that we were sitting on.
"Who was calling you?" She asked sweetly.
"Just Leah." I sigh.
"Why? She hasn't bothered you in a while." She says raising her eyebrows in confusion.
"I don't know." I say looking at my phone.
It buzzing with text messages from Leah. What does she possibly want now? She sends one last text and then she stops. The last text read:
'Call me ASAP. It's important.'
"You should call her." Connie says.
I think for a second debating weather or not I should but then I hit the call button and I put it on speaker because there is no secrets between me and Connie.
"Austin have you heard?"
"Heard what?"
"They found where Haley is. You were right. I'm so sorry I didn't believe you."
"They found Haley. Where is she?"
"My dad got a call this morning saying that John was coming back here to have a meeting on getting his daughter back. Well, they said that they will be here tomorrow and that they will get her back safe and sound. That's all I know but we are getting our best friend back I hope."
"She's coming home. After all this time she was still alive."
"Yeah. Look I got to go but you should talk to your family about helping with this. I know Haley would love for you to be there."
"Okay. Thanks for calling me.""No problem."
I hung up the phone after that. I felt tears coming down my face. Haley is still alive and she's coming home. Hopefully she remembers everybody because when I saw her she had amnesia.
Connie wrapped her arms around me and said, "You get your best friend back. I can't wait to meet her."
See this is why I love her. We hug until it was time to get her home. Right when I get home my family and I rearrange where Haley's family will be sleeping. They said we are going to do everything to bring Haley back. I just hope it's real soon and she's not already dead. I watch to many movies to k of what can happen if something goes wrong.
