Cold hugged your back and the wind licked your cheeks as the day began to end. It was almost dusk as you hiked along a narrow trail. It was your second year with the Resistance and you had befriended a pilot named Poe Dameron. Poe tried to take you under his wing ever since you joined, you both eventually became good friends. He loved to talk to you about fighting in an X-wing and the basics of flight. You were always fascinated since it was your dream to become a pilot.

Ever since you first joined, your parents were severely disappointed. They were never too fond of danger and decided to disown you for choosing such a 'barbaric path'. They believed that the war was not something for a 'delicate lady' to participate in. While you walked You rolled your eyes with disagreement, you felt it as your sworn duty to help defeat the First Order.

Today had been slow and boring, hours dragging along as you wandered around the forest that encircled the main base. This was one of the things you liked to do when you wanted to think. It didn't matter the subject, you thought just about anything when you got the chance.

The wind became cold and bitter, grabbing and biting at you aggressively. 'Guess its time to back to the bunkers...' You shivered and trudged 'home' , is what you considered it, with now a cherry red nose and red cheeks.

Walking into the bunkers, you were hit with a blast of warmth. You sighed contently and strolled to your room. It had walls of a type of metal, you couldn't really place your finger on what it's called, but honestly you didn't care at the moment.

There was a twin sized cot in the right corner with a trunk of clothes in front, accompanied by a small locker in the left wall corner. It was helpful, but you didn't use it too often.

Lastly, but not least, you had your own personal bathroom. It was practically heaven when it comes to relaxing or warming up in the shower when needed. 'And...washing up too, I guess.'

Night started to tug at your eyes and eventually you laid down and fell into a comfortable sleep.

You flew faster than anything, taking in the breathtaking view of space. Stars twinkled against the jet black abyss, as you piloted your own X-wing. The happy feeling didn't last long when swarms of Tie-fighters appeared from the dark. They shot at you and others that appeared in now your squadron. A shuddering blast erupted through your ears, you have been shot. As you felt yourself falling hopelessly into an uninhabited planet, everything when dark. A smooth voice whispered into your ear; 'You are strong and powerful, join the dark side. For you can feel it too...'

You woke up covered in a blanket of sweat. H/c locks stuck to your face, you didn't want to go back to sleep, in fear that the voice would come temp you once more. Emotions swirled in your mind like a tornado. "Join the dark side? I-I don't understand!" you whispered breathlessly. But, the voice kept replaying in you mind.

'Join the dark side, for you can feel it too...'
