While Max was getting ready, I was watching TV and talking to Ivy.
"Hey" I said.
"Good morning! Did you sleep well?"
"Yeah, I did. But how did I get to my room from the hospital?"
"You were passed out, and when I carried you into the car you were also asleep. So when we got home I just put you in the bed."
"Oh! That makes sense."
"Yeah."
"Okay, I'm ready." Max said.
He was wearing sweatpants and a sweatshirt. He looked nice.
"So, where are we going?" I asked.
Max looked to Ivy and back and replied,"It's a surprise!"
"Yay?" I questioned.
I went and grabbed a jacket and headed outside to the car.
The car was warm. I don't think it was new, but it was cozy. Ivy was driving while Max and I sat in the back talking. They knew everything about this town they lived in.
"And there is the movies! We don't go there very often, but it's a nice theater." Max says.
"It seems nice!" I replied.
"And on your left is the old 'Ice Cream Parlor' we usually go there on hot summer days. But sometimes we go there in the winter for some hot chocolate and maybe ice cream." Ivy says.
"Ice cream is my favorite. Especially, triple chocolate mint!" I told them.
"I love mint. But my favorite is just plain chocolate," he said.
"Mine is plain ol' vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup." Ivy told me.
"Oooh! that sounds really good!" I told her.
For the rest of the day they took me throughout town and showed me the shops. For lunch we ate at a little diner called, The Golden Biscuit. It was very warm inside. The people who worked there knew how to carry on a nice conversation. Then we walked for an hour, and it was super cold. But I learned how to make a snowball! After the amazing day, we went home.
*In the house*
"I had so much fun! Thank you!" I told them.
"Your welcome!" Ivy said, but Max just smiled.
Ivy was cooking a small dinner of ravioli, corn, and green beans.
"I'll be right back. I'm gonna change into pajamas, and wash my face." I told them as I walked towards my room.
I grabbed a pair of underwear, a t-shirt, and some sweatpants, and headed to the bathroom.
There, I washed off all my makeup. I looked into the mirror and thought to myself.
All the makeup in the world, won't make you less insecure.(if you know what song that is from comment the song. if you don't ask bc its a good song) Wow, that is so true. Why do I wear this makeup? My dad told me I was ugly that's why. Doesn't he understand words can hurt? Unlike the phrase, sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me. Who came up with that idiotic phrase? Bet he hadn't bullied. Oh well.
I stripped down and hopped into the shower.
