"HEY! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?" I screamed.I bent down to see if Max was bleeding, then I was kicked in my stomach.
"I told you not to talk to them Kylie," Max whispered.
A teacher came up to us and the boy walked off.
"What happened?" He asked.
"The b-" Max nudged me to stop talking.
"Nothing, we're fine. Thanks though Mr. Fire." He said forcing a smile.
Mr. Fire looked concerned, but smiled and walked into his room.
"Why didn't we tell him?" I asked
"You just can't okay? You can't tell anyone. If you do there will just be more trouble and more pain."
"Oh, okay. Aren't you in pain? That must have hurt."
"No, actually it didn't. But are you okay?"
"I'm fine," I forced a smile, but was really hurting.
As we both got up the bell had rung for us to go to class. We grabbed our backpacks and headed into the classroom. I followed Max to the back of the room where he had sat down. I sat next to him. He smiled and I smiled back. Then a boy sat next to me.
"Hey Jack!" Max said.
"Hey! Who's this?" he asked as he pointed to me.
"Kylie,"
"Cool. I'm Jack," he said.
"Hi!" I said back.
"Okay class, so first we're going to... I see we have a new student! Come up here and introduce yourself!" Mr. Fire said.
I slowly walked up there. The guys were all staring at me and the girls were whispering.
"Hi, um I'm Kylie."
"Say your full name and 3 facts about yourself!" He said smiling.
"Okay, um, so. My name is Kylie Amelia Taylor. And uh 3 facts abo-" then someone cut me off.
"Hey can everyone call you Kat?" a girl asked.
"Uh sure."
She just smiled and I went on.
"So 3 facts about me are, that, uh." I couldn't think of any facts. I couldn't tell them about my dad. Well I can say my mother left me when I was 3. I love chocolate. And I don't have a phone but I want one.
"Well, I love chocolate. I don't have a phone, but I want one." Everyone giggled and I giggled too.
"And my mom left me when I was three." I frowned and walked to my seat and sat down.
Everyone was whispering. Probably about me. But oh well.
Everyone kept telling me how sorry they were. But they couldn't have done anything about it. I just miss her. I really want to talk to her. But how? How could I get a hold of her?
"Kat? Hello? Look up the teacher is talking to you." a girl said. I looked up.
"Please go to the office, with your bag." Mr. Fire told me.
I looked at Max. He didn't look back. I walked out of the classroom and into the office.
I sat in a chair in the corner, away from everyone. People were arguing. A woman walked in. She looked a little nervous. She walked over and sat down next to me. She looked so familiar.
"Miss Kylie please come here." some guy said.
I got up and the lady looked at me then back down at her lap. I looked around and someone came in. My father. He looked at me and smirked. The lady who was sitting next to me also got up. She also looked scared. Could she be my mother? No, probably not. I started pacing and headed out of the office and into the hallway. I ran into the bathroom scared out of my mind. Why on earth is he here? How did he know I was in school? Did Ivy tell him? Did Max tell him?
