Broken Inside

Chapter 10

I was pacing back and forth. Then a girl walked in. She was from my science class.

"Hey what's wrong? You look scared." She asked.

"Oh hi, uh I'm fine." I told her.

"Well you don't look fine to me,"

"Go away, please."

I didn't want to tell her about my father. It would be horrible. I would break down and cry and she would probably bring in a teacher.

"Well that sucks for you because I'm not leaving until you tell me what's wrong. I'm going to help you. Don't worry, I'm not going to keep asking. I'll just wait and you can tell me when your ready." her voice was very gentle and reassuring, but I really didn't want to tell her.

I waited for about fifteen minutes, and I just couldn't hold it in. (hahaha ik thats such a long time haha) I completely spilled out to her. Crying and all. I had to keep quiet though. After I told her everything she kinda just stood there.

We ended up staying in there for an hour. She kept telling me how things were gonna get better. She was also going through something.

"So, if you ever need me here is my number." She said scribbling on the tiny piece of paper.

Annalise and my phone number is **********

(That's what the paper said^^^)

I thanked her and walked to the office. I was still shaking and scared, but I knew it would have to happen sooner or later. A lady ran up to me and hugged me whispering,

"I missed you! You've grown to be such a beautiful young woman! I love you!"

I pulled away, just to scream "MOM, OH MY GOSH. ARE YOU REALLY HER? OH MY GOSH. I'VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH. HOW DID YOU KNOW I WAS HERE?"

"I missed you," I whispered as she hugged me again.

"I missed you too!" she whispered back.

"Don't act surprised, but we need to get out of here. Now. Father is right there. I can feel him staring at me. Now when we pull away, smile and let's leave." I whispered.

As we pulled away she did what I said. She smiled, and we walked out. After we were out of the office we broke out into a sprint and sprinted to her car.
