Broken Inside

Chapter 16

"Ugh your such slow poke. Can't you walk any faster?" Kat begged.

"Well, my eyes are shut and I can't see anything. I have no idea where  going. What if I like fall off a cliff?" I asked her.

"God Kenzie, you actually think I would run you off a cliff?" 

"Well, I don't know!" We both laughed.

We walked for about 10 minutes. 

"Okay, are you re-" 

"Can I just open my eyes! Please! I want to seeeee!" I screamed with excitement. Curiosity overflowed from my body.

"Go for it!" she said.  

I opened my eyes to such a beautiful sight. 

"Oh my god. It's beautiful. How did you know about this? Where did you find this?" I asked. It was really pretty. I saw a baby bear and it's mother. It walked towards us. I looked to Kat.

"Don't worry!" she said as she walked towards the bears. She petted them. The mama bear walked towards me as I held my hand out for her to sniff it.

"These are really tame. I'm concerned. What did you do?" this was an odd behavior for a bear. 

"Nothing. I didn't do anything. I went here one time and they just came up to me. I even named them!" She pointed toward the baby. "Jack or Jackie," she pointed to the mama bear, "Chocolate." 

Kat when on and on about how she came here and how she loved it here. It made her happy when she was sad. How beautiful it was. She also told me about a house that she had found. She said it was a cottage and looked very old. 

"Well should we check it ou-" 

"No. No no noooo. That house was said to be cursed. I actually found a book about this place. I read about it and did research!"
