Me and Ronda were gonna take Kian to the park for a while and then I had to get ready to go to dinner and meet Ronda's family. I looked over at Ronda as she was getting ready for the day. Even after 3 years, she still tends to give me butterflies. I could tell you right now, I was nervous. I didn't want her family to hate me or something.

Kian ran up and jumped in my lap. "Are you ready to go to the park?" I asked him excitedly. He smiled, "I am!!" He yelled excited. This kid always found a way to put a smile on my face. I stood up and threw him on my shoulders. Ronda was ready so I grabbed her hand and we made our way downstairs.

"We're leaving!" I yelled opening the door. "Don't lose my child!" I head Naomi yell from upstairs. I laughed and put Kian in his car seat and I got in the car. I held Ronda's hand as I was heading to Kians favorite park. We made it and I got out, Ronda and Kian followed. Ronda and Kian ran towards the slides. Slides were Kians favorite.

I watched as Ronda played with my nephew. She smiled and her smile made me smile. She's perfect and she makes me so happy. She's my best friend and it's an honor to be in love with your best friend. Everytime she smiled my heart would stop. I have fallen in love and of course it terrifies me. Instinctively, I'm afraid of love. I'm afraid to be in love, yet here I am.

It's been about 2 hours and Kian was passed out on the couch. I was getting ready to go to meet Ronda's family. It's been 3 years and I haven't met her family. With UFC and training and media, I haven't had any time. I barely have any time with my family. Now I finally have a few weeks of time off before I have to train again.

I felt myself become more nervous as time is passing by. I was ready but I couldn't move. I heard a knock on the door and Naomi came in. "Aww Jade you look so nice" Naomi smiled. I laughed nervously. "I don't know if I'll make it" I mumbled. I couldn't really understand why I was so nervous. "They'll love you. You know why? Because you love their daughter, and sister. Don't worry so much" She smiled and gave me a gentle hug. I smiled and started making my way downstairs. Ronda was waiting. I smiled and Ronda grabbed my hand and we headed out the door.

We both got in the car and I we drove over to her mom's house. All of her sisters were there. Ronda knocked and I stood beside her, nervous as hell. Her mom can do the door with a smile on her face. I put a smile on my face and we entered her house. "It's very nice to finally meet you" Ronda's mom spoke, shaking my hand. He sisters were sitting at the dinner table and me, Ronda, and her mom all joined. They all greeted me and I felt more nervous then ever before. This was her family, and if they didn't like me, I don't know what Ronda will do.

Everyone was talking with each other and I kept quite, listening to everyone conversations. "So you're in UFC too?" One of Ronda's older sisters, Jennifer asked. "Yeah, I've been in for about 3 years now" I mumbled. "Why do you fight?" Julia, the younger sibling asked. I pondered the question. "I fight for respect, for myself, for my family. I guess I fight because I'm fighting myself." I relaxed as I answered the question. Of course I wasn't going to go into full detail. They didn't need to know my life story. Not yet. They didn't need to know. She nodded and we all ate silently. Ronda grabbed my hand underneath the table. She knew. She knew exactly what I could have answered but didn't. No one's really asked me that question before.

"I love Ronda. I really do. You all are just as important to me as she is. One of my biggest struggles was to accept that I love her." I spoke, breaking the silence. They all looked at me and her mom smiled. Ronda looked at me and smiled. "
