Ponyboy's POV

I sat with Johnny, watching the sunset, I was awful worried about us getting home, if we ever did at least, I couldn't stand being away from my girl and Johnny couldn't stand being away from his, I could see it in his eyes. There was an even sadder look on his face then when we first met him, the day the gang and I met him is what I didn't like and the remembrance of it makes my stomach twist, not because we met Johnny but because when we first saw him he was getting a beating of a life time, the only time you would see something like that would be if you were in the Mafia or a gang, his old man was drunk, it was well clear and he was usin' Johnny as a vent, a punching bag. Luckily Two-Bit stepped in by grabbing a hold of his dad's wrists, Dally moved Johnny away from his dad and we took him to our house to get him cleaned up.

A year or so after, only a few months ago, Johnny got beat real bad by some Socs, he was cut up and bruised and was cryin' real hard, when his old man beat him he didn't even let a tear out but when he got jumped, that was different...he never left anywhere without a switch blade after that.

"Ponyboy" he started, I turned to him and cocked my head to the side, almost like a dog. "Do ya know what Storm saw that ended her up in the hospital? She didn't want to talk about it and whenever she sees Dally or me, her eyes widen a bit, have you noticed?" He asked, I stood up and started walkin' back to the church, Johnny followed me.

"I don't know Johnny" I sighed " She's never usually that quite about somethin' so I'm kinda worried too" I yawned " I hope we see em again and that we ain't gonna hide for the rest of our days" I finished, he nodded.

"Do ya think Angela and Neda told em?" He asked, I shook my head in disbelief, they wouldn't rat us out, would they?.

"No of course they haven't, they wouldn't rat us out Johnny, they said so" I finished, I yawned again. "I'm going to bed Johnny, wake me up in a bit" I said, falling asleep quickly.

The next morning I was woken up by a cold gust of wind, dancing it's way through the church. Johnny walked towards me.

"Hey Ponyboy, we're gonna cut our hair" he said, my eyes widened, I shook me head but he sighed. "We gotta, they have our descriptions and we can't match em" he said. "We are gonna cut our hair and bleach yours" he finished, I flinched.

"Not my hair Johnny" I said, shaking my head, he motioned for me to sit down. I couldn't believe we were going through with this plan... I hated it!

After he cut my hair, I wished it was completely over! But we still had to bleach it which I was massively against this, as if cutting my hair wasn't enough. He used pretty much the entire bottle of the peroxide in my hair, turning it almost a white - blonde colour ( I live in Canada we have a 'u' in Colour  \_(•-•)_/  )

I hated the hell out of my hair, I was miserable and I just wanted to go home, but it was easier said than done.

After I cut Johnny's hair, I decided to read the copy of 'Gone With The Wind' Johnny had got me from the store he went to, to get supplies. I was only on page 30 before I got too tired to continue, so I saved my page with a torn piece of sheet music that Gilbert had dropped and I kept it in my pocket hoping to give it back to him, but what's the use of it now that I don't even know if we are coming back? I fell asleep right after.

Angela's POV

Neda and I walked to Buck's, Dally would most likely be there and we needed to know where Pony and Johnny went. We knocked at the door but Dally came around the corner of the house, taking a smoke.

"What you two doing here?" He asked us, I growled.

"Where's Johnny and Ponyboy" Neda asked, Dally looked away.

"I can't tell ya, top secret" he said, I was losing even new patients with him and his games.

"When are they Dally, we know that you know, just tell us" I frowned, he sighed in defeat, but stood his ground.

"Again, I ain't sayin' , they don't want ya two getting hurt if something goes wrong" he said " I'm going up to check on em in a few days, don't bother comin' along" he finished, I laughed to myself, we where gonna come along.
