Chapter Twenty One

Storm's POV

I walked out of my hospital room, going out to take a smoke, Two-Bit was waiting outside for me, a worried expression on his face.

"Hey Two, what's wrong?" I asked, he jumped a little, that wasn't like him. He looked down.

"Johnny and Ponyboy are missing" he said, my eyes went wide in shock.

Mitch's POV

I woke up in Darry's bed, we- or at least I went to bed early last night after...some rather interesting events happened around 8... At 2 in the morning I was woken up by yelling but went to bed when it stopped, I stepped down stairs to see Darry pacing back and forth and Sodapop was fixing breakfast which was- a chocolate cake, he was quite worried too. I sat of the couch, in which Darry collapsed onto the couch in worry. He hugged me and I hugged back tightly, rubbing his back, work today wasn't going to be easy for him. He wrapped his arm around my waist, I blushed, the previous nights events from 8pm played back in my mind like a projector.

~Night before at 8pm~

I walked out from the bathroom, drying my wet hair from my shower and a towel wrapped around my body, to see Darry in the living room. Dally and Hailey had gone to Bucks. Gil, Sky, Ponyboy, Johnny, Angela , Neda and some redhead and her friend were at the nightly double. Two-Bit was visiting Storm at the hospital. May went to cod knows where. Brooke, Maddie and Sodapop went to DQ. Steve and Amber went out some where that no one knew. I saw Darry on the couch reading the paper, I sat down beside him and began poking him, he looked at me and raised an eyebrow.

"What are you doing?" He asked in amused, I giggle and held his hand, my head resting on his chest.

"Nothing, I'm cold" I said, I lifting up his arm and put it around my neck, he chuckled and moved his arm to my waist before I blushed redder that a tomato, kissing him on the cheek, he chuckled and kissed my lips softly, I kissed back slightly, then a kiss slowly turned into a passionate make out session, he kissed my neck, leading me upstairs while I smirked, chuckling, he took my hand and pulled me into his room, closing the door and locking it. He began to start cornering me to a wall, kissing my neck as my head hit the wall slightly but it didn't hurt. He make me drop my towel while he barred his face into my hair, he chuckled and smirked lightly and began undressing himself, I blushed lightly.

I hugged Darry tighter, I felt him shiver, gosh what happened to Ponyboy and Johnny... Please... Not like the book or the movie...

Angela's POV

I walked out of the bathroom, still worried sick, suddenly Storm and Two-Bit ran in, Storm looked worried sick, but she looked as if she knew what should happen before anything else.

"Where's Dally?" She asked, we looked at her confused, Mitch looked though as if she understood what she was talking about.

"How will Dally help this?" Sodapop asked, Mitch looked at him, then back at Storm who was panting.

"Ponyboy and Johnny couldn't have run away without the help of someone, for all we know they could be headed for Texas, Dally would know... Only if he'd tell us" she said, the guys nodded in agreement, Neda looked nervous, I guess I did too because Storm asked me if anything was wrong, I shook my head before she went back to talking.

Neda and I left and walked to the lot and sat where we were last night, I sighed... I hoped they were okay, Day one and I knew they weren't coming back today...

"Ten miles from town, and I just broke down, splittin out smoke from the side of the road" I began singing softly.

Ponyboy's POV

"I'm out here alone, just tryin to get home, to tell you I was wrong but you already know" I sang , Johnny had gone out to buy some supplies, I didn't know if I was out for an hour or maybe a week, but I missed home, tears slowly dropping from my eyes, I continued. "Believe me I won't stop at nothin' to see you I've started runnin' " I stopped, breaking down.

Neda's POV

"All that I'm after is a life full of laughter, As long as I'm laughing with you" Angela and I sang the chorus to 'Life After You' by Daughtry, I cried slightly while doing so, people began crowding around us, none of them we recognized, but we sang anyway.

Johnny's POV

" I'm thinkin' that all that still matters is love ever after" I sang, walking up the hill, remembering last night when I said goodbye to Neda...

"After the life we've been through" Pony continued.

3rd Person POV

"Cause I know there's no life after you" the four sang, although they couldn't see each other, they had heard the song from Maddie's playlist after they got bored and stole her phone and, listened to her songs. They never forgot it.

Hailey's POV

I reminded myself of the memory from last night, Johnny and Ponyboy came into Bucks, asking for Dally, we found out Johnny killed someone, I almost cried, this is exactly what happened in the book, Johnny killed someone, Dal gave em $50 , a gun and his jacket and stuffed Ponyboy's wet shirt in a drawer. I yawned, reminding myself of a song.

"The last time we talked, the night that I walked" I began a random part of the song.

"Burns like an iron in the back of my mind" Dally chuckled sadly, continuing the song.

Dally's POV

"I must have been high to say you and I" I sighed "weren't meant to be and just waisting my time." I continued with my arms wrapped around Hailey's waist, I didn't know what she was doing to me but I kind of liked it.

Sodapop's POV

"Oh why did I even doubt you?" I said, looking at May, she just looked ahead.

May's POV

"You know I would die here without you" I continued for Soda, smiling lightly.

Maddie's POV

Randy approached us but didn't say anything, he just walked and I guess we were cool with that, he was mourning the loss of his friend as Storm told me.

"All that I'm after is a life full of laughter" everyone sang.

Randy's POV

I walked beside a girl who was with the greasers, I guess they knew I didn't want to fight.

"As long as in laughing with you" A small dirty blonde girl and a Brunette girl sang.

Amber's POV

"I'm thinkin' that all that still matters is love ever after" I sang, Steve walking beside me, he sang along.

Steve's POV

"After the life we've been through" I sang lowly, we reached the lot, hearing Neda and Angela also singing the song.

"Cause I know there's no life after you" we all sang, meeting up. Even Dally was there.
