"I am against this relationship."

Akashi's Father boomed as he stared coldly at you and Akashi.

You and Akashi are sitting facing the older Akashi, with a low table separating each side.

Well, you expected that. After all, who are you compared to Akashi? You know his pedigree will never match yours.

Rather, you'd be shocked if Akashi's Father nonchalantly accepted yours and Akashi's relationship.

By the way, are you and Akashi considered dating? Did he or you even asked the other out?

"I can't seem to agree with you on this one, Father." Akashi stated unflinchingly. "I can't give up on (First Name)."

You blushed a bit. Maybe the two of you are dating after all?

"Give me a valid reason why I should follow your wish." Akashi's Father asked, unfazed.

The tense atmosphere is taking its toll on you. You're feeling bad at how you put Akashi in a hard position. What can you do?

"..Let's make a bet, Father."

The older Akashi's brow raised in intrigues. "Tell me."

Akashi moved his hand onto yours, gripping gently for his source of comfort. "I will lead the overseas project."

Akashi knows he's taking a risky bet, but for once, he couldn't let that small chance hinder his decision to keep you by his side.

"If I meet your expectation, please accept (First Name)."

Both Akashis know how seemingly impossible it is for the older Akashi to be pleased with the younger's try, and how Akashi is at disadvantage with his Father holding the verdict.

"I suppose we all know what will happen if you don't, don't we, Seijūrō, (Last Name)-san?" Akashi's Father stated calmly. You could hear a tiny amusement in his tone.

You flinched slightly. "Y-Yes..."

You couldn't remember what happened after that. You could faintly heard Akashi's Father told him to take the flight tomorrow, before you're escorted out.

Is this how you want it to be?

To let Akashi fight for you two, while you stood idly like a trophy to be won?

Akashi didn't hesitate to put up an argument, while you don't even know what to do?

"No..."

You straightened up, your gaze firm. "I won't let Akashi-kun fight alone."

You promised him, that you'll protect him by his side. This is one of those times.

So you hopped off your bed, and went running for your home telephone then dialled the number that was somehow pushed into your pocket the other day.

"Hello? Akashi-san?"

The other line was quiet for a while. "(Last Name)-san." The reply came.
