"TET-CHAN!"

You ran and rammed into Kuroko's back in a back-hug, your eyes teary. The latter almost fell face-first to the floor from the force of your sprint.

Practice had just ended, and you clearly can't focus on the practice without thinking of the accident with Akashi back in the library.

You are feeling 110% awkward around Akashi, and had been avoiding his gaze since. Eventually, you can no longer bottle it and naturally, you looked for your best friend for a round of teary confession.

Kuroko sighed. He knows something was up, but he's not sure about wanting to know.

You detected his reluctance and let go of Kuroko. Then you utilised your one-hit-ko move, teary eyed and gazed upward.

A move that never fails to get Kuroko to listen.

Kuroko paused. And you know you got him even with his indifferent expression.

"...What happened, (First Name)-chan?" Kuroko asked in reluctance.

This question gave you the privilege to hook Kuroko by the arm and pulled him into a sprint to your house, then to your room plus a lock.

"What is it this time...?" Your mother sighed after watching you and Kuroko disappeared into your room.

In the room that's not so girlish and boyish, you sat down face-to-face with Kuroko, in a comfortable seating position, while you hugged your pillow.

You took a deep breathe to ready yourself. "I...... accidentally..." You murmured slowly. "..kissed Akashi-kun.." Then you quickly buried your face on your pillow.

You failed to notice Kuroko's fingers twitching oddly. In truth, he knows. He saw it. He was there when it all happened. And he felt even more hurt than ever that you admitted that it happened in front of him.

Is he really only a childhood friend to you? The truth always hurt, and Kuroko is aware of that. The way you look at Akashi is different, and he knows why.

"I-It's just the cheek!" You shouted defensively, thinking Kuroko was angry since he was being too quiet.

"Hmm." Kuroko just hummed.

You blinked in confusion. "Tet-chan.. you're not mad?"

"No."

"Not even a little bit?" You asked persistently.

"No."

That's weird. You squinted your eyes, feeling slightly hurt how Kuroko acted so indifferent. Shouldn't he react more to the fact that you kissed someone?

"I have homeworks to do, (First Name)-chan." Kuroko spoke and stood up abruptly. "Excuse me." Then he left.

While you are stunned. Kuroko was never that...distant to you before? You did notice that he had been feeling down since the sun rises today, did you do something wrong or was he just tired?

The next day, you woke up with a steel conviction to ask Kuroko what happened with him.

"Today for sure." You brimmed with confidence.
