Hi guys! So today it's been a very busy day for me and barely had time to write, hope you like this chapter though and I'm sorry if this is not what you expected. Anyways, this chapter is inspired in the song "Seaside" by the Kooks, I invite you to listen to it! Great song :) x

The rays of the sun followed by the breeze of the morning woke me up. I forgot to close the window yesterday night. I was so tired that I didn’t realize I let it opened. When I opened my eyes, I looked around the room and I wasn’t in my room anymore, it was another room. I wasn’t in my hometown and that was when reality hit me. It was very early in the morning but I didn’t care. I got out of bed and got in the shower. I really loved the drops of water falling down my skin, it really made me feel alive and it was one of the very few situations I could forget about everything and made me feel me. Leah. The real me, not this girl under pressure. I looked myself in the mirror and put my hair in a bun. After that I got dressed and went downstairs but there wasn’t anyone there and knowing my sister she wasn’t going to wake up until noon.

I made myself a cup of coffee and some toast. I was looking through the window and I was still amazed at the beauty of the ocean. I’ve never had the chance to live near the sea nor the beach. I found it a really calm place where I could get lost myself. It was really inspiring so I decided to grab my notebook and bring it out with me. My feet were guiding me to the sand after writing a note to my aunt saying I was outside and not to worry about me. There was nobody at the beach, which made me love it even more. I looked at the horizon and my feet touched the water. It was a little bit cold but I was sure it was going to be warmer as time went by. While I was walking I was looking at everything around me. I was always a very observant person. I liked to look around me and appreciate the little things in life. I had a deep breath before sitting in the sand and feel the texture of it in my soft skin. After that I started writing the first things that came up in my mind by watching the landscape. The seagulls were playing and some of them were competing to see who was the best in catch a fish. Some of them were in the air flying and I couldn’t help but smile. I wish I could fly like them. I think it has to be an amazing experience but unfortunately human beings cannot fly. The first surfers were approaching the coast as I was watching them. Some of them fell, some of them were able to catch the perfect wave, others were just learning and the other ones on the right were pros. I was watching them carefully when someone sat next to me and interrupted my thoughts.

“Hey” I looked at my side and my cousin Max was sitting next to me. He was a surfer as far as I could see because he had his board with him.

“Hi” I said. “You surf?” I asked him with curiosity.

“Yeah, I do. Do you?” I shook my head saying no and smiled.

“I wish though”

“You can learn, it’s not that difficult”

“Yeah, but I bet you’re not as clumsy as I am” we both giggled and he kept looking at me.

“Hey, I just wanted to say that I’m here for whatever you want. I want to be a good cousin since I’ve never had a cousin from my age” I smiled at him and nodded.

“Thank you. But yeah, I guess this is something I have to get through”

“It’s better to have someone by your side than going alone, right?”

“I guess that’s what people say” I looked at the sea and we both stood quiet.

“So… Tonight there’s a party on a boat, I thought you would like to come, all my friends are coming” I looked at him and I made a face of a little disagreement.
