Ok so before you start reading this, I would like to recommend you two songs that fit perfectly fine with this chapter: Holding out of a hero by Ella Mae Bowen and Kiss me by Ed Sheeran. So nothing more to say, enjoy it!
I was making my way to our place, as Harry called it. There were less people in town because some of them went back to their hometowns, as it was the middle of summer already. It wasn’t as light as it was before but still light enough to see while walking through the beach.
I decided to take my sandals off to feel the sand running through the fingers of my feet. It was cold but I felt it very relaxing at the same time the sound of the waves was in the background. I’ve always said it, no matter how many hits there were on summer, there is only one soundtrack of it, one that never was old enough; the sound of the waves and seagulls.
I put my sandals back on my feet to enter the small path with small stones. I was walking when suddenly I saw two lines of candles in both sides of the path. I paralyzed for just a moment thinking what exactly it was. Did Harry put those candles there?
As I thought, the path of candles was guiding me to our place. I kept walking when suddenly I saw a big poster that said, “I’m sorry” and a sad face. I smiled at that sweet detail and kept walking till the lagoon. There was a table with the same candles that were in the path next to the lagoon. The view was magnificent. I was speechless; everything was very beautiful that I even froze. I then heard some steps behind me and I carefully turned around. I was wearing a short white summer sink dress that was playing with the wind, my hair was straight and wild but nothing of that could be compared to the piece of museum I had in front of me. Harry was wearing a shirt with his black old jeans. His curls were perfectly defined but my eyes were laid on his smile. He was holding a red rose in his right hand as he was approaching me.
“I’m sorry” he said with his deep voice. He handed me the rose and I touched his soft hand when I held it. I smelled it and looked down before looking at his piercing green eyes.
“Harry…. You didn’t have to do all of this…” I said still not believing everything. Nobody had ever done this to me before, so I was very shocked.
“I know… but I wanted to. I feel still so bad for shouting at you earlier…” He hugged me and I hugged him back. Neither of us said anything and like if there was music in the background we were moving slowly like if we were dancing. It may look a bit stupid but we were two idiots in love dancing alone, in the middle of some forest without music. The air wasn’t cold but was playing with my hair as I breathed to smell his clothes. He smelled so well that I closed my eyes to feel it better. His hands were pulling me closer to his body as both of my hands were resting on his chest as my head was doing the same thing. We were slow dancing when suddenly he said.
"Leah… I’m just afraid” I looked at him confused but his body was still against mine.
“Afraid of what?” I asked curiously.
“I don’t want you to be hurt again. I feel like I need to protect you and that man had something weird in his eyes when he looked at you”
“Harry it’s fine…”
“I know, you always say that it’s fine but after all, you always need me there to save you”
“Maybe…. I need a hero after all?” I said smiling and blushing a little bit. He pulled me closer to him by grabbing my hand.
“I love you Leah Cooper” I smiled wider and then his thumb made me look at him again.
“Don’t do that, seriously. I hate when you make me blush”
