Back again to aunt Brielle’s house wasn’t as awkward as I thought it was going to be. They wanted me to come back and well, to be honest I’ve missed them.
My sister and I knew we had to talk as soon as possible to fix this situation so she was the one who came to my room.
“Hey” she said.
“Hey”
“Can I talk to you?”
“Yeah sure” she came in the room a little bit shy. I smiled at her like if I was assuring everything was ok. She sat next to me and then started talking.
“Look, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have told you horrible things”
“I know, it’s ok, I forgive you. I’m sorry too”
“This was crazy”
“Yeah, it still is…” we stayed quiet for a moment until she spoke again.
“So… we’re not sisters… we’re step sisters now…”
“What? No! We will always be sisters you twat” I said giggling. “No, seriously, no matter what happens between our mum, we will always be sisters. I will always be there for my little sister” she smiled at me and hugged me tightly. I hugged her back and smiled as well. I didn’t know how much I missed these moments.
“So… are you alright with Harry now?”
“Yeah, everything’s perfect”
“He’s just… he’s just a lovely boy, Leah. I’m glad you’re with him”
“Yeah, I know… such a shame this won’t last much longer”
“What do you mean?” she said a little bit confused and scared.
“Sam, we’re coming back to our hometown”
“So what?”
“So what? He’s going to the x factor, everything will be over”
“What? Is he?”
“Yeap” I said looking at the phone to check if I had any message from him.
“I didn’t know he could sing”
“Neither did I” we giggled together and then she stood up.
“Sorry, Jane and I are hanging out, so I’d better get going”
“Yeah, alright, have fun you two”
“I’m glad we’re ok now. I’ve missed you”
“Me too, Sammy” I smiled at her and watched her walked out of the room. I was feeling ok now. It was good to be able to talk to her again. I mean, I can’t change reality. It is what it is. So why fight against it? I had to accept reality the way it is because human beings can’t change it in just one second.
In that moment Harry texted me if we could go to our place. I texted him back saying of course and we headed there.
It’s been 2 days since my mum and dad announced their marriage but this time they wanted me to meet my dad’s daughter, as known as my other stepsister so my dad was going to celebrate a bbq at his house with lots of people. He said to me I could invite whomever I wanted so I invited all my friends but at the end it was only Harry, Bailey, Brandon, Kitty and my cousin Max.
