Chapter 9: Is It You

We walk into my house and I get a sharp pain in my head. I go sit on the couch and put my hand on either side of my head. Then I start hearing people telling me that I must die. I start to cry.

Peeta comes over worried." Katniss what's wrong?" Peeta ask.

"They won't go away," I say still crying and holding my head.

"Who won't go away?" Peeta ask still worried.

"The voices in my head," I tell him," They are telling me I must die. Please Peeta make it stop."

Peeta pulls me into his arms and starts to hold me tight." Don't listen to them,"he says kissing the top of my head.

Then they are gone. I lay in his arms for a while. I sit up when his phone rings. Peeta answers. I have no clue who is in the other end and I would like to know.

They start talking and all Peeta says is seriously, do the others know, and do you want Katniss to come over? Then I hear the other end say "yes, right now." Peeta hangs up with the most excited expression on his face.

"Who was that?" I ask.

"Effie," Peeta says," she wants us to come over to her house."

"Why," I ask.

"It's a secret," Peeta says with the biggest grin on his face.

We walk over to Effie's house and it is about 4:30 when we arrive. We walk in and Effie tells me to stand facing her and Peeta.

Effie ask me," How much do u miss your sister?"

Memories of her and her dying start playing in my head. "I miss her a lot. I wish she was still with us," I say starting to cry.

"Ok," she says," What do you wish you could have done to keep Finnick alive?"

"Go help him away from the mutts. Also I wish I would have done that so he could see his child," I say breaking down.

I think is this supposed to help me feel better or worse?

"Last question," Effie says," what was the last thing Cinna said to you and do you still miss him?

"The last thing he said to me was that he was still betting on me." I say. "Also yes I miss all three of them everyday."

"Great," Effie says," turn around."

I look at both Peeta and Effie confused and they both have huge smiles on their faces. So I turn around and see Finnick, Cinna, and Prim standing there. I ask,"Are you really here? Is it you?"

They all shake their head and I run up to them all. I just can't believe they are all here.

"How are you all still alive?" I ask really confused.

Before the tunnel exploded I found a small tunnel thing and hid in there." Finnick tells me.

"They just beat me up really good. Really good that it knocked me out," Cinna says.

"Before the bombs were dropped. I found a passage in the ground and hid there," Prim says.

"I'm so happy you are all ok," I tell them hugging them again.

"Peeta, I also have a surprise for you," Effie says.

I walk over to Peeta who says ok in a little bit of a worried voice.

"You had a sister,Sage, right?" Effie says,"You cared for her deeply. Didn't you?"

"Yes I've always loved my sister. I miss her a lot now that she is gone." Peeta says starting to cry a little.

"Well what if I can change that," Effie says. Peeta and I look at each other confused. Effie then says," Sage you can come here now."

A girl about Prim's age walks out. She looks a lot like Peeta. She says," Hi Peeta."

"Sage?" Peeta says in an exciting voice.
