Just a Dream

Chapter 10: Together

"Yes,it is me," Sage says.

Peeta runs up to her and hugs her. I had no clue he had a sister. I thought he only had brothers. Then I look at Prim and she has a big smile on her face. She walks over to me and whispers "She has been alive the whole time. She was a nurse like me back in 13. We became really good friends. It is almost like she is another sister."

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" I ask.

"You seemed so upset with Peeta being in the capital. I didn't want you to be upset more than you already were. Speaking of you and Peeta. How have you guys been?" She ask.

"We are good. We are actually dating." I tell her. Than an even bigger smile appears on her face.

" I knew you loved him Katniss," Finnick says coming up behind me. Must of heard what I said.

"Whatever," I reply rolling my eyes. "You might want to go home. Annie will be really happy to see you," I tell him.

"Ok," he says and leaves. Cinna leaves to go live in the new house they built for him. Sage and prim are going to live in my house for now.Also Peeta is going to live with me just in case I have nightmares.

We get back to my house and Peeta goes to make dinner. Prim decides to go help Peeta. I go sit on the couch and Sage comes over to join me.

"I don't think we officially met," she says."I'm Sage and you must be Katniss."

"Yes I am," I say shaking her hand.

"I have heard lots about you," she says sitting next to me.

"Oh really," I say

"Yes, Peeta would come home every day with a new story. He would tell me how much he loved you and how beautiful you looked everyday." She says to me.

"Ok, Sage we don't have to talk about that," I hear Peeta say from the kitchen.  Must of overheard what Sage was telling me.

We talk about other things. We seem to bond really well. She reminds me so much of Peeta. The way she lights up when she talks about certain things, how they look so similar,everything. I think I'm going to like Sage just like another sister.

Peeta and Prim finish making dinner. So we eat and talk about how much has happened. We finish eating and Peeta and I go clean the dishes. It was getting late so Prim and Sage go to bed, but Peeta and I stay up. We decided to watch tv and talk.

"I'm sorry about earlier with my sister," Peeta apologizes.

"It is fine. I really like your sister. She reminds me a lot about you. Also is what she said true?" I ask.

"Yes," he starts," I've always loved you. I thought you looked outstanding everyday. I really couldn't talk to my brothers or parents about it because they didn't care about me. Until after the games. The only person that did was my sister. So I would tell her about it."

I sit there with a smile on my face. Then I finally say," Well I love you and will always care about you."

There is a long pause between the two of us until Peeta ask," What should we do tomorrow?"

"I don't know," I start then it hits me. "Do you know about the store for sale at the hob?"

"Yes," Peeta says with a confused and scared expression on his face.

"We should create you a new baker." I tell him in the most excited voice jumping off the couch.

"No, I don't think that would be a good idea," Peeta says.

"Why not?" I say sitting back down on the couch.

"I don't know why . Do you think we should do it?" Peeta ask.

"Yes or I wouldn't have said the idea," I say with a big smile on my face.

"Lets do it," he says then kisses me. When we break I let out a small yawn. We both decide that we have had a long day and go to bed. I'm sitting on my bed in my pajamas when Peeta comes in to say goodnight. I say the same to him, but before he walks out I get his attention.

"Peeta, can you stay with me tonight?" I say kind of scared because I have no clue what he will say back.

"Of course," Peeta says walking over and getting under the covers. When he is comfy I lay my head on his chest. I listen to his heartbeat. Which makes me go to sleep even faster.
