3 days of survival

Chapter one

Have you even wondered what it would be like to wake up and go down stairs expecting your mom to be making her famous pancakes. Or waiting for your dad to hand you your books and lunch for school. And your dog to bark with those puppy dog eyes witch show don't leave me hear. Except when you go down stairs no ones there. You search every room possible even the creepy basement but still no ones sign of your family. You head over to see if your neighbors know any thing but still none of them are there. You run down the street to find no cars are on the main highway and you realize your all alone no one for miles to see. My name is Bryan prescot and I'm 14 years old. Now I'm going to tell you about my story how this happened to me. I had just headed off to bed and said good night to my mom and dad and buster my dog who is a golden retriever. I slept really well that night better then I ever had usually I stay up playing Xbox or watch movies on my computer cause my parents won't buy me a tv. I woke up the next morning finding my alarm clock on ground and lamp on the other side of the room witch had been on my night stand. I thought it probably was some kind of earth quake. I rolled out of bed looking for my dog who was not in his bed witch sat next to mine. I checked my parents room for some answers but they were not in there. So I headed down stairs thinking they were in the kitchen with buster. But I found no one there just a mess pans were on the ground and napkins were spread out across the floor. I searched the living room, laundry room, dinning room, even sun room but still no one to be found not even buster just a mess in each room. I wondered if they had to get some were quick or brig buster to the vet. But they know I could not get to school on time by my self. I got a bowl of cereal and turned on the tv but nothing came on as if no one were any of the channels cause the rest if the power was on. There had to be some kind of storm then I thought. I was starting to get confused on what actually happened. I walked out side to find mom and dads cars both Were there but the question was were were they had they gone to a neighbors or both brought buster for walk even though his walk time was later. I walked to Mrs.jankenson next store because both there cars are there they had to be there. I nocked on the door as I did it creepily opened. Hello Mrs.jankenson I called out but There was no one there. I thought some reason they forgot to lock it . I called Mrs. And mr jankenson a few times more but no one answered. I helped my self a round to see if any one was home here either. Maybe it was sone kind of surprise party like my 11 birthday party I thought to my self but no mom would not do that again after the hole all most panic attack incident. Eventually I realized they were not here next I checked the Ryan's house witch was a few houses down from our's but no luck there either . Were is everyone did they leave because of a war I thought. hello I yelled out hello I repeated but still no one answered back. I ran and ran until I reached the high way down the street I saw a bunch of cars none that were moving as if they were parked in the middle of the road. I saw a few that were flipped over which scared me a bit. I ran to peek in the Windows no one was in there. It's as if ever one just vanished. This had been like the zombie movies I had watched but the only difference was there were no zombies just plane emptiness. There was no way this was happening I had to be dreaming a dream that felt oh so real. I pinched my self to try and wake up but i still remained in the same spot.  I ran some more tripping over my own feet calling out hello anyone please are you there but still no one in sight no answer back. I continued further down the highway as I began to see this greenish mushy substance on the road at first but then it was every were on the grass, cars, and trees. At first I really ignored it I was to angry and scarred about were everyone had gone. Tears started down my face I wiped them away as I told my self every thing is going to be ok we will find every one. At that moment I began to hear something that sound as if it was coming in the distance behind me. I turned around to see some kind of a blur getting close moving faster toward me. Then I realized that was so no blur it was a dog it got clearer now I could hear the barking witch sound like buster but  he had been gone. Or had he as the dog got closer it looked like the same kind of dog a golden retriever! As the dog got closer I begin to think about my sister whose room I forgot to check when I was home. I remembered me and her had just got into a fight a prank fight she had put worms in my bed one day. I taped all her shoes to the ceiling. It's sounds stupid if u think about it but that's what brothers and sisters do. I also had been mad At mom because she took away my xbox because of a bad test grade and I'm usually a straight A student . I was really mad and wanted some kind of revenge but this is defiantly not what had in mind. The dog was almost here as he kept on coming I realized it was no stray dog it was buster I could tell by that brown spot by his eye and the red coller that we had just put on. As he approached me he jumped on me licking me to death. Down boy I said with a smile. Oh I'm so glad your hear buddy I've not seen anyone all morning! Common buster we need to go find people anyone and find out what happened we just need answers. At that moment he started to run down the highway and the direction of a street off the highway were my friend Ally lived. Hey wait up buddy I said starting to Run ofter him. When we got to the street we saw a bunch of cars flipped over and a few small trees had fallen and more of that shiny green substance. Buster was still running only this time he was sniffing the ground at the same time. He finally reached a stop at my friend Ally's house witch had every single light on possible. We slowly walked up the porch stairs as one cracked ever so slightly. When we reached the top we peaked in looked like no one was home. What are we doing here buddy yeah I know this is my friends ally's house. He barked at me and started at he door bell so I ran the door bell anyway not expecting anyone to answer . We waited for a wile buster started to bark and claw at the door. Sorry buddy guess she's not home come on let's go. Ten we saw the nob start to move we stepped back and at that moment the door flung open and there stood Ally! Omg omg she yelled! Bryan is that really you I'm so glad to see you she said running up to me and hugging me. I'm so glad to see you to. Hey we're is every one me and her both said at the same time laughing afterwords. I have no Idea I looked at so many house and so many cars in The middle of the road were empty I explained. Same I looked every were no one for miles I really freaked out but not so much anymore I found you! And hey buster she said going to pet him as he licked her hand. Actually buster sniffed his way here I said. Wow impressive good job buster she said petting him some more. Here come in she said pulling me inside  as she shut the the door behind me. So what do think happened I asked as we walked to the kitchen I could see her house was a mess as well as mine. Well I think it's obvious it is zombie apocalypse. You really think that I thought it was some kind of horrible storm every thing is a mess and even if it was why weren't we turned into zombies I questioned. Yeah I know you love science and what ever happened there's obviously no one here's Sk we should start moving and looking for more people she said staring to pack things in a backpack. What what if our parents come back or anyone does for Us. Look around there's no one no point in staying here if there might be people out there. Now come on if your coming grab as many things as you can you can use my brother backpack she said and pointed to it. Wait were are we going to go we don't even have a plan what if we run into something dangerous i told her. That's why we're bringing this she said grabbing a sharp cutting knife from the kitchen. Well it's going to take for ever to get some anywhere on foot i said trying to convince her this is a bad idea right now. That's why we're going to drive now grabbing her moms keys to her car. We can't drive a car are you crazy I said again. Well do see any cops or do you see anyone at all! She explained. I'm sorry for raising my vice but dude we gota I got to find my parents and I know you want to find yours to. I paused for a minute not saying anything. So are you in or not she said pushing the door open and flinging her back pack over her shoulder. I guess so I said following her out to were her moms car had been parked. There was no stoping her when ally wants something things she never gives up until she had it. So you know how to drive a car she asked unexpectedly. Well um I don't think my parents would ever let me so probably not said with a sarcastic tone. Okay then I guess I'm driving, she hoped in the drivers seat trough her backpack in the back seat and put the the key in. I opened the back seat door as buster jumped in I put my backpack there as well. As I closed that door i opened the front one and jumped in alongside ally. As she put the car in reverse I held on for life cause clearly she had no idea how to drive a car either. But I was okay with that now because all I wanted was to find my family and I know ally did to. Ally maybe we just just plan a little more what if maybe your right a zombie apocalypse we need to be better prepared. We'll be fine don't be a a scaredy cat she said backing up and piling out of the drive way. I'm not scared just think we need to be a little more prepared. Well we're all ready going now and I want answers so let's head into town. As we got to the road we realized that the gas was all most empty. Oh dam were not going to have enough gas to get anywhere but thats okay there's a gas station down the highway well be fine ally said. We looked down and saw the gas station it looked far away but ally slammed on the breaks and we were on our way I held on for dear life as we went about 80 miles an hour down the highway!
