3 days of survival

Chapter nineteen

We had to go trough many gates and security to get trough to nasa. Doctor James explained how there was usually a lot more and it was almost impossible to get trough without workers access. But I guess since it's the apocalypse there making an exception. When we got to the front of the build we could see it clearly it was huge about 20 story's I guessed. We were all amazed especially when we saw a huge rocket in the back. Wow is that what we're going on ally asked. Yes but we have to check in first before we do anything or we might get in-trouble Doctor James explained. Ok so what are we going to do with our friend here savanna asked pointing were Jonathan's brother sat. Well we need to get in because they apparently know him and he has access inside. So we grabbed all the bags we had left and headed out of the buss Doctor James and savanna carried Jonathan's brother while me ally and buster followed along. We had to move quickly into the building just Incase there was another gravity loss or before 8qi gets to us. There were people directing us and handing out food and towels or any other medical care for people that needed it. This place seemed a bit more welcoming then the resistance group back at the mall. When we got farther in it was extraordinary what they had we looked up and saw every level of flour. It was a bit of a mess but there was so many things like training for astronauts and reaserach labs for crawlers that need help. Dammit maybe if we brought my boyfriend here he could have been saved I'm so stupid now cause of me he's dead! Ally yelled out in frustration. No ally it's not your fault we didn't know and were not sure if this will help him or not all we know right now is that we need to get on that ship as soon as possible before anyone realizes who we are Doctor James said. I know exactly who you are a laddie said behind us. We turned around to see a short laddie with long blond hair glasses and a lab coat on. You guys are from the resistance group right? Yeah we are and we were invited to go to space with the other people that were chosen. Ok yes fantastic you will begin training immediately and it looks like your friend is hurt, med over here now she called out. Another laddie came running over and grabbed Jonathan's brother and placed him on a cart like the ones they have in hospitals. He will be treated for his leg in no time and what did happen to him she asked curiously. Umm just a crawler attack we all said very quickly to try and hid what we actually did. Since the bullet wind was almost healed you couldn't tell he was shot. Before minutes he was rushed away to one of there medical facilities. So exactly what kind of training will we be doing ally asked. Well you will be running a lot of treadmills, doing pull ups, sit ups, push up, and put through our simulators to see if you can survive in space the laddie explained. Wow what you mean we have to pass the test to go up in space I asked. Yes well we need to make sure you can make it up there and survive or otherwise we would just be killing more people she said. But we need to get up there are family's are up there please! Well if you show that your strong and you pass the test necessary for space travel then you will have no problem going up. Now follow me I will be showing you were you will be sleeping for the night. We followed her up an elevator 6 floors up we got to a hall way that looked never ending with doors every were along both sides. We walked far down until we stoped at a door she opened it and it was amazing looked just like one of those 5 star hotels that we could never afford to go to. There were 2 beds, 2 desks, 2 tvs, a small but nice kitchen, and a bathroom with a jacuzzi bathtub. Wow this is amazing are all the rooms like this savanna asked. Well no unfortunately not all of them only half and the others are just plane normal hotel looking rooms but since there are is four of you we will give you one of the nice rooms. Ok so we should probably decide fairly who.. I call dibs on the left bed ally said running in before I could even finish talking. Ok well I guess she's sleeping here. How about you go in and sleep on the other bed savanna said because you know me and ally don't get along to well. Okay are you sure I feel bad just taking the good room. Yeah Go ahead. But I didn't argue I was so happy I ran in as fast as I could and popped my body on the king size bed and kicked my shoes off. Ok we'll in 1 hour you guys will be meeting us in room 25A on the first floor so don't get to comfortable. Ok guys we will get you when it's time to go will be only a few rooms down if you need anything call savanna said as the laddie shut the door in front of her. This is so exciting were actually going to space maybe we will see an astroid or a commit collision or maybe even...hey I know we're going to space but you don't have to start neerding out over it ally said cutting me off and laughing. Well you know I like that stuff and want to become a scientist especially work for nasa! Maybe this is my chance to impress them I said. No come on we need to focus on the real reason we're here is to train and get reddy to go up into space and find our parents ally explained, so don't get off track. Ok yeah your right I need to focus on preparing for space. I was so nervous even though I would never make it maybe ally cause she's strong and does a hole lot of sports and maybe Doctor James who looks like he works out at the gym maybe 3 times a week. For the hour we had to wait we didn't talk much ally dove off and took a little cat nap while I lay'd on my bed and though to my self about space and being in zero gravity but more importantly my family and what the aliens could possibly be doing. When an hour was up I herd a knock on the door ally sprint up from her nap and ran for the door as if she was excited to begin training. Hey guys you ready to do this savanna asked. Yeah ally and I both said back. We headed down an elevator to the first floor and over to room 25A I was peaking in rooms and we passed by in s few they were experimenting and dissecting some aliens that must have been caught. Welcome the girl said as we entered the room. There we're all kinds of excursive and training machines but none that's I've seen at they gym i go to or used to go to. Everything that we do like go to school go shopping play sorts feels like a year a go except it's only been 2 days since the apocalypse. Okay you two are going to go over there with the other kids she said gesturing to me and ally. She told James and savanna to come with her. They had put buster in a separate room with others dogs all mostly like a kennel. I felt bad cause I know how much he hated them usually the people working it would call us and tell us he was refusing to eat or sleep and is crying in the corner of the room. But we had to or he would be all over the place looking for food or getting into the equipment. We joined in with a about 10 other kids it was most adults in here not a lot of kids were going up. Okay welcome everyone as you know this is training day we will be training all night and mostly all day tomorrow until the launch. You have been picked because you are either very smart very strong and very fast witch u will need in space if you want to survive. I new that me and ally probably had no chance of making it. I looked at these kids and they were insane they were all jacked all taller looked fast and the few that were were mostly likely the really smart ones. Even though ally was strong and I had lots of smarts I was in all advanced classes we were still no match for them. I watched as Doctor James and as can left I saw that doctor James was trying to make friends with the trainer guy giving him facts and boring him to death. Okay everyone the  guy said we are going to begin better now then latter you are going to be jogging around the room for 15 minutes then after that 50 push ups, sit ups, pull ups. Then caring a partner of ur choice around the room in an astronaut suit. This was obviously so much and I'm going to pass out just doing 5 push-ups. But I did it anyway and carried ally around in that suit and let me just tell you never try they at home cause it's way to hard and you'll probably break your back. But she had such an easy time caring me for some reason! The guy seemed to like her and complemented her every once and a while. Then after a few hours of that we began to start the simulators and you would think that might be kind of fun almost like there video games but boy I was wrong they were worse then all the workouts we did. Okay now are you ready for your first simulation the guy said as we all got some water and headed over to another area. He explained okay so in this simulation you will have zero gravity and we will be testing you and seeing how you react to it and how you figure it out. Anyone want to go first he then said. Of course ally volunteered but I new she just wanted to get it over with. They helped her up as she climbed in the big glass square simulator. Okay give us the thumbs up when your read the guy said. I noticed a few more scientists were beginning to write things down. As it turned on she flew to the ceiling there were seats at the bottom so I'm guessing it was supposed to be designed like a spaceship. She began to try and lower her self down and grab onto anything she could eventually she did it she made it to the seats and buckled herself in. Well done they all said impressed it took her about 5 minutes to do that. A few more people went after them it was my turn. When u got in and gave him the thumbs up I went flying all the way to the ceiling and of course I hit the same arm as I did in the alien spaceship I tried to hard not to show and pain or any signs that I had hurt my arm I didn't want to lose my chance of going into space. Eventually I almost made it down but flew back up this was way harder then ally made it look. I saw everyone talking outside I couldn't tell what they were saying but I knew they were probably making fun of me. That's when I texted to hard pulled my self down and got to the seats with in 10 minutes. Ally ran over and said you made it you got under 12 minutes! She hugged me. As everyone else went 2 kids got over 12 minutes and that's when I realized they had let them go and told them they weren't reddy for space I was so happy I had made it. After that we did 2 more simulators one were we spun around really fast in a chair with I all most barfed in I'm not going into details all I'm saying is me and ally made it. Also one kid couldn't go out the speed needed to go in space so he was out. Now there was about 9 of us 3 were gone. Then the last one for the night was to go in a room a room that looked just like a space craft it had beds it had a table with fake controls and some food stores in there. Alright this is the last one for the night you are going to go in there this is didighned just like a space ship for you to get a fell if what it's like in there. We will come get you in the morning and see how you've done. It was small like the area we were probably going to be in I didn't want to get Cluster phobia. But we did it we headed in and went right for the beds cause we were all whipped out. We slept until the next morning came.
