Chapter seventeen

As we approached the car on the other side of the mall we looked around for any guards that might be lurking near by. It looks like the cost is all clear but might not be soon so everyone in Jonathan demanded opening the front car door. Him and Doctor James got in the front and ally and savanna hopped in the back seat. I on the other hand didn't get in I was not getting in definitely not without my dog. Bryan what are you doing hop on in we got no time to spare Jonathan said. No no way I'm sorry but I'm going to find buster I told you this all ready I said. Look Bryan you can't this is basically a sue-aside mission ally said stepping out of the car. What do you mean a sue aside you said he ran in that direction I said pointing to the woods I don't think there's going to be any guards and we can handle the crawlers. Oh that's what those things are called savanna asked. Well we don't know we just gave them a name since they basically do crawl on there hands and feet Doctor James explained. Bryan look he didn't go that way when I woke up what really happened was there was a guards and he must have thought we were all dead except buster so he took him I'm sorry ally said. What you lied to me you know how much he means to me why would you do that I asked madly. Because I didn't want us all to go back in there we would have gotten caught and killed that's why I said it was a sues aside mission. Well you didn't have to lie and I an going after him anyway and nothing's going to stop me so if anybody wants to come be my guest but if not I'm still going I said, making it clear I wasn't turning back. Okay but I'm coming I'm not losing you not again savanna said getting out and walking over next to me. Okay me to then Jonathan said but I also have to do something else while I'm in there he . Like what I asked back. Well I'm actually...well going to kill the boss. No one said anything just stared at him, I could tell we were all thinking the same thing are you out of your freaking mind the boss! But no one argued just ally asked why are you going to do it isn't he like your leader or something for the navy. Yes but he has never treated me or any of my friends real great or actually anyone, he has done some very bad things I don't want to talk about and he's doing even worse things now it's time for him to pay. Okay then fine you can do that whatever let's just get buster back I explained. All right lets go now is everyone coming Jonathan asked. Yea I guess everyone except ally I said. No fine ill come I don't want to be out here alone waiting so even if we do get killed I guess I will come! Ok great let's go come on everyone this way Jonathan led us. We headed into the door we came out before. Jonathan and ally were getting there guns out as we did. Savanna pulled me back as we entered. Hey what are you coming I asked. I think we should ditch these people now cause Bryan we don't really no them she said. What the heck are you talking about no way they have helped us and they still are getting buster back! I know I just don't want us to get hurt and what if we do going back in there huh? Well it's something I'm willing to risk I said pulling away from her and going in to catch up with the others. Hey you guys all good ally asked as I ran up behind her. Oh yea we're all good I said looking over at savanna with a disappointed face. It was true I was disappointed cause I didn't think even she would swoop to that level just thinking about her self and not trying to help others. As we all walked together trying to blend in Jonathan got pulled to the side by some guy but I couldn't tell who. We all quickly followed them when they stopped in a small hall way. Hello Sargent Jonathan the man said saluting him. Sargent neville how are you long time no talk he said back. Yes it has been hasn't it I just got here from nasa were I was helping out he explained. Oh really do you think you get us on a bus there ally asked. Well I don't know it depends on all the things that you have done and that's why I'm here actually he said. Wait are you talking about us rebelling Jonathan asked. Yes and the boss now wants you all cought dead or alive he doesn't care. Well we kinda know that we escaped him when the power went out and the generators stopped working.  Oh yes well that's not all I forgot to say the boss he has your dog he said now looking at me and he rest of us. Buster he has him no what is he going to do I demanded. Look kid I don't know I Just know he had him and and he's not happy. No no let's go right now and get him I insisted. Ok yes and along the way I will kill the boss just as I came here to do. Wait what this is more than just saving your dog you can't just kill him Are you you mad! Sargent Neville said. When he said that "are you mad" it sounds like someone from Britain would say along time ago ally said laughing a little. Whatever I doesn't matter what matters is that Sargent Jonathan has lost his head he said. No I haven't I've always hated him and I know you have to he is a killer and the biggest dick ever. Wow there's kids here savanna said trying to be the better adult even though she was just a jr in high school. I'm sorry but all I care about is giving the boss what he deserves he said grabbing his gun and beginning to walk. Wait Jonathan please stop this is not you don't do this Sargent Neville tried to convince him. Yeah well this apocalypse has changed me it's changed everyone and I need to do what I have to I've always been committed to helping people and keeping everyone safe! He turned back in the direction he was heading and ally, Doctor James, Savanna, and I followed. You going to regret this your never going to get that feeling out of your head just remember that Sargent Neville yelled from behind. He didn't respond just kept on looking forward and moving. I didn't know how badly he wanted this but I new he was detected and would do anything possible to kill the boss. We eventually got to jc penny there were guards even more than there was the last time there was no way we were getting passed all of them. I new this was all because of us we Made security increase. So how are we going to get passed do you have a plan Doctor James asked Jonathan. Yeah well u guess we're going to have to Kill them or create a distraction. I like the second Idea I can't kill anyone not now savanna said. What do you mean not now I asked her. I mean that I just saw all those dead people outside there. Oh really cause I think that's it's more than just that something happened did you kill anyone I asked. No of course not why would you think that. Because your nurvose and a little suspicious and I know you I said. No I didn't kill him! Oh wait I mean. See you did kill someone who was it why I asked. I didn't mean to it was the guy that was going to take me to the mall I asked if he new you cause I was your sister and he told me what you have done some bad things he said. he was going to take me and lock me up cause I'm your sister or use me for bait. Wow these people really do like using others for bait Doctor James said. Oh wow I'm sorry I really am that you had to go trough that I said. I know it's fine it wasn't easy either I was terrified she said wiping away some tears from her eyes. We didn't speak for a few minutes just started at the guards peaking from behind a wall. Okay I will do it Doctor James said eventually. Do what Jonathan asked back confused. I will creat the distraction and see how many guards will come you kill the rest ok? All right are you sure you want to do this he asked. Yes let's just do it and get it over with were running out of time. Wow no what will happen to him I asked. Well I'm not really sure at this point but it's out only option now Jonathan ehexplained. He's right I'm going Doctor James said walking around the wall and running over to them. Why now we're going to have to go and get him back again I said. It's ok he'll be fine they won't just kill him trust me I know Jonathan said. But I thought the boss said he wanted us dead ally asked. Yeah but they will be asking him where we are and won't kill him until he gets all of us. Oh gosh here he goes ally said pointing toward him. It was amazing how fast the guards saw him and began chasing him in the other direction. There was still three guards left and they were on high alert nothing not even a fly could get passed them. Ok you might not want to see this Jonathan said suggesting we look the other way. All I head were three gun shoots and I turned around and all three guards were down. Ok luckily no one was around to see that lets go though before anyone does see Jonathan said. We moved fast and In to jc penny. Johnson still lead the way we stayed low behind shelfs and avoided anyone that we saw. This was happening all so fast I could tell savanna was freaked out and ally was a little to. Who new what we were going to face up there who knows if we are even going to come out alive. Before we new it we were up to the second floor then back in front of the office the boss was in but this time there was no guards blocking our way. We looked around slowly until two guards pooped out behind us and before they could shoot Jonathan grabbed a knife and stabbed both of them. Why didn't you just shoot them ally asked. Because then  the boss would have herd the gun shoots and I could have lost my chance now let's go this is not going to be easy. As he slowly opened the door and peaked in he whispered to us the boss was at his usual spot at the desk with one guard on either side of him. Ok so are we going to take the guards out ally whispered. When he didn't respond I could tell something was wrong so I asked. What's wrong can we take them out or not? What's wrong is that they are wearing bulletproof gear I forgot about its going to be extra hard now. Wait a minute is buster in there I asked. He nodded then said okay this is what we're ganna do I'm going to go in there and get buster lose then once he is out there's only one thing you can do. He reached for his pocket and pulled out a grenade. Wow how long have you had that ally asked. It doesn't matter what are you saying we have to blow the boss and you up are you out of your mind I asked. No it's the only way if we do this he will be killed and buster will be safe. No I'm not doing it I won't I said, me either you don't deserve this maybe him but not you no way ally added. Savanna didn't say anything just listened. I'm sorry but I have to I hope you guys get to nasa and find your family he said as a single tear fell from his eye. No there has to be another way how will we get anywhere not without you we need you ally said crying to. I'm sorry it was nice knowing you guys he said coming over and hugging us. Thank you savanna said,thank you for helping them and keeping them alive i owe you she said behind us. Okay then this is how you can repay me he handed her the grenade. You can do it you all can I believe in you now when buster comes out you trough the grenade. No wait please I said but it was to late he had already headed in the room. We pressed our ears against the door to listen. We heard him talking I head him say I'm here I'm going to turn my self in but you can't hurt the kids. The boss said no way I need you all even Bryan sister that's right I know she's here to. Then I heard a crate open I was guessing it was were buster was because after that I herd him say ok at lest let this dog be free. The door was open a crack and before they could get him buster came out we tried not to let the door open all the way. Ally walked back with buster to make it look like he left and Ally stayed agent at the wall so that the boss couldn't see her. They talked for awhile about stuff we wouldn't get about there past in the military. Until they stooped talking and I head them pull out a gun and some one fell to the floor. This is it our chance savanna said hoping In front of the door with the grenade. Hey let him go now or I swear I will trough this. No savanna do it don't worry about me Johnson said as he laid on the ground with guns pointed to him. I don't think so the boss said pulling out a gun and putting to Jonathan's head. Guards get them and kill them. Now savanna do it now! And run Jonathan said said. no savanna don't please but she did it didn't look just trough it. as Johnson said to protect us. She trough it and it landed in the middle of the room as we closed the door. She grabbed me I was yelling and screaming but we ran and she dragged me ally and buster were running to. Even through we were moving fast I felt like we were in slow motion again . Then all of a sudden a beep went off and a huge explosion I turned to go back but savanna pulled me. No me and ally were crying out then when it got to us I feel to the ground my vision blurred then I new I was knocked out just like I was earlier.
