"Stop! Please! You don't need to fight! This is my fault!" I screamed at Zack and Jeremy. Luckily, the crowd of people at the venue were oblivious to the fight. The two boys in front of me were making too much of a scene for me to cope with a crowd rooting them on anyway.
Kevin and Neil began pulling Zack away from Jeremy. I was surprised to find that Jeremy wasn't even fighting back; he'd just sat there and taken the hits like he deserved them.
"Zack, p-please calm down..." I pleased, my voice shaking. "Can we take this outside?"
Zack growled as the others lead him away. I leant down the Jeremy as they left.
"Are you okay?" I inquired dumbly. He was bleeding from his mouth and nose and he had a black eye.
"N-nothing too bad," he panted. "I'll d-do for now..."
Josh stepped up beside me, his face contorted with concern. "Would you like some help?"
"That's be great, Josh," I replied. We hoisted Jeremy up, and he leaned against us both. He was a little heavy, naturally, but I didn't let it stop me.
A cool blast of night air hit me and I stepped outside to the low hum of the street. Zack was standing there with Neil, Kevin, and Alex, his fists clenched, seething with rage.
"Ember, we need you here," Kevin told me desperately. I gave him a look of despair and turned to face the two people who loved me.
"Guys, never fight over me, or any girl for that matter. You're celebrities for god's sake, you could get anyone!" I snapped. "I'm not worth dying over. And even so, I'm sorry, Zack, but I'm in love with Jeremy. I like you, but not in that way."
"I'm so sorry Ember...and I apologise to you too, Jeremy, for lashing out like that. I was so out of order..."
Jeremy smiled. Well, sort of. He was to wounded to smile properly without wincing. "It's okay. I understand."
Zack stepped forward, offering his hand. Jeremy took it weakly.
Alex sighed in relief beside me. "I'm so glad everything's okay."
"Me too," Josh agreed.
"There's always been a lot of drama surrounding you, huh?" Neil chuckled and patted my head. I ducked and smiled slightly.
"Yeah...I'm sorta used to it now."
"Ember? Is that you?"
I turned round to see my old friend Bella.
"Hey Bells! What are you doing here?"
"I heard A Day to Remember was playing, so I supposed you'd be here," she chuckled, flicking her hair from her face.
"Did you see what Jeremy did?"
"Sure did! So you're together now?"
"Yup!"
"Yay! It's about time," Bella rolled her eyes.
A voice sounded from behind me. "Hey Ember, we're gonna head home now. I'm taking Josh and Kevin and Alex back." It was Neil. He looked across at Bella beside me and a small blush creeped up into his cheeks.
"Sure, I'll get Jeremy home," I replied. I swore he never heard that sentence.
"H-hey, who's this?" He questioned, motioning to Bella.
"That's Bella, my friend. Bella, this is Neil."
"Hi," Bella replied quietly, smiling sweetly. Her cheeks were rosy too. I smirked slightly. They clearly liked each other.
"I'll leave you two to talk," I told them. "I need to get Jer home before he bleeds to death."
"What?! What happened?" Bella gasped.
"Neil, you explain. I really gotta go."
My green-eyed friend nodded and hugged me swiftly before letting me go. I walked over to Jeremy and shook him. He was leant against the wall, his eyes closed.
"Jeremy?" I whispered. He didn't arouse from my gentle nudges. I shook him harder. Nothing. I put my ear to his mouth and nose.
"J-Jeremy!" I cried out. "Neil! Help me! Jeremy isn't breathing!"
