I was speechless.
The crowd almost deafened me, their camera flashes aggressive and blinding.
My mouth managed to form some words. "Y-yes. Yes, I w-will...I'd l-love that more than a-anything..." I whispered down my microphone, tears rocketing down my face. Jeremy rose to his feet and slipped the ring on my finger before kissing me passionately. I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him down harder, kissing him back.
Jeremy smiled when we broke the kiss, resting his forehead against mine. "I love you, Ember. I love you more than anyone ever will."
"I love you t-too, Jeremy. Thank y-you so much...for everything..."
And with that, Jeremy and I joined the band centre stage and we took a bow together. I took a fleeting glance backstage and saw that Kellin was sobbing his eyes out, smiling stupidly wide as Vic chuckled and wiped his tears away. Aww! I was never gonna let him live it down!
I looked around at the other members of A Day to Remember and they all made their own signal of acceptance by winking and putting their thumbs up. Neil looked a little sad, but I knew it would pass. He'd end up going out with Bella sometime soon.
This had to be the best night of my life. And I had the greatest fiancé in the world to thank for that.
-----
I took the liberty of talking to the other band members the next day. I'd been so caught up in Jeremy loving in the past few months that I'd hardly had much time to see them. I felt awful about it, because they were my best friends.
They took up my offer on coming round to mine and Jeremy's house. Jeremy would be joining us later after he finished visiting his parents to tell them the news of our engagement.
Kevin arrived first. He was the only one on time. What great friends I had!
"Hey," I greeted him as he entered the house.
"Hey Ember. God, this place is still as amazing as ever," he complimented as he gazed around at the walls Kellin and I had painted a year back.
"Thanks! So how are you, Kevvy?"
"Kevvy?" Kevin chuckled, raising an eyebrow. "I'm okay thanks. How about yourself?"
"I'm not too bad myself. Any ladies on the scene?" I waggled my eyebrows.
"Ember!" Kevin laughed. "Well...there might be..."
"Ooo. Name?"
"Vanessa. She's from Italy. I'm surprised you haven't heard about her yet."
"Oh?"
"I saw her in the crowd at a gig a month back," Kevin explained with a grin. "I had security fetch her afterwards. I couldn't keep my eyes off her the whole time. She's beautiful."
"Aww! That's so amazing!"
"Not as amazing as Jeremy proposing to you last night. He told me before he went onstage that he was nervous as hell, but he didn't seem it when he was up there," He admired as we sat down on the sofa.
"He is amazing. I couldn't ask for better."
"He's so good to you. I hope I can be that for Vanessa."
"You will be. You're a great friend as it is. You gotta be a great boyfriend."
Before Kevin could reply, there was another knock at the door. I bounded over with a spring in my step and opened the door to find my emerald-eyed best friend.
"EMBER!" He shouted, and charged in for a hug. I hugged him tight.
"NEIL!" I screamed back. "HOW YOU DOIN' SON?!"
