I grabbed all my stuff and hugged Josh goodbye as I got out of his car. I'll see him at school tomorrow. He's such an adorable person gahh.

I took one deep breath and opened the handle that entered my house. I know I'm going to get yelled at. Josh told me to text him if anything happened.

Opening the door as silently as I can, no one was home. I went straight into my room and tried to fix my ukulele.

Since Josh & I are such close friends, I'm going to try and write him a song.

-

After an entire hour of scribbling lyrics down in my notepad and practicing each tune with my slightly broken ukulele, I heard my door open.

"Tyler, we need to talk." My mom said as she opened the door. Frick.

"You weren't in school attendance today? Where did you go?"

I have no clue what to say. Frick, I'm screwed.

"I was in today. I got sick most of the day." I'm such a terrible liar.

"Your little friend was also out today too. You better not have been with him today, that kid is bad trouble."

"Okay, what's so bad about him? He is not a bad person. He's very caring and an amazing person in general. I don't understand the problem with him."

"Tyler, you don't understand. He may seem caring but your attitude has totally changed ever since you met him. I don't like him."

"I like him. He's made me better. Stop trying to control me. I'm almost 18 and I can make my own decisions. Stop making it all for me."

"Then where were you last night?"

...

My life is over, great. I can't tell her what happened. She'll blame him even though he helped me.

"I slept downstairs in the basement because it got too hot up here."

"Tyler, you're grounded until Saturday. You're definitely lying to me here. You can't leave the house except for school."

She walked out of my room. Well this is just amazing, I can't see him at all except for school. My life is just going great isn't it?

I rushed quickly down to school, I wanted to meet Josh early and explain everything.

I waited for 20 minutes and he wasn't answering his phone at all. He wouldn't leave me hanging like this..

Tyler Joseph, come to the principal's office, please.

Are you fricking kidding me?

I started to shake a lot as I opened to door and saw the principal staring directly at me. Josh was sitting in the chair directly next to the chair set out for me.

We have no plan or no excuses. This is just great, maybe Josh shouldn't have saved me or I shouldn't have Skyped him that one night. He is becoming a bad influence to me.

"What is your excuse on being absent yesterday?" He questioned me.

"I..uh..got sick and I had to stay home."

He didn't believe it. Josh kept staring at me with this puppy like eyes and slightly nerved looking.

"Why did you ditch yesterday?"

Josh spoke up finally "Because we did. Maybe some people need a day or two away from school. This kid has issues, he needed help. There was no way in hell that I was going to come here after helping him. It was unexcused, I know. My personality and out safety comes before any of your fucking rules here."

I have no clue how to react to this but I'm going to break down any second.

"Mr. Dun, we've had many problems with you at this school. If it gets worse, we're going to have to expel you.

My eyes widened a ton and Josh had a determined look on his face.

"Expel me for saving someone's life? Because that's the way a school should be. This kid needed mental help, I gave him what he needed, I treated him like a fucking prince and you'll expel me for that. You're setting a great example for this shit of a school."

I grabbed Josh's shoulder "Calm down, please."

"Hold on, Tyler. Honestly, this disgusts me on actually coming here and letting my ears hear the bullshit that I am being told."

"So, Tyler, what is your side to this?"

I'm going with Josh on this one "Well, kind sir, uh, he kind of saved my life. I was going to some very bad stuff but he came and helped me. I owe him everything for that. He's very kind and always goes for the right side of things, I think what he did was completely okay."

"So you tried to kill yourself?"

"Uh, not quite, I'm uh." I hear Josh getting ready to speak, oh great.

"You don't need to know what he goes through or what happened. I don't care about my previous records, I am who I am currently. The last three years were a mistake and I'm a different person after them. I don't care if I'm a "bad student", I'm more considerate than anyone who is supposed to help anyone here." Josh said.

"Well you boys are going to sit here until the end of the day and then you'll have to do work after school hours until the end of this week. That's your punishment for your boyfriend and you running your mouths off too much. I'll see you boys back here at 11:00am."

We walked out of the principal's office and went straight to the outside for a half hour, avoiding eye contact with everyone around us.

We sat up against a tree, not a single person to be found outside.

"Thanks for sticking up for me in there. I had no clue what to do."

"No problem. I'm used to it after dealing with that bitch so many times."

"I mean we didn't try to lie. I'm already in enough trouble with my mom because of this. At least I get to spend time with you."

"Trust me, sitting there isn't that bad since he's gone half of the time. It'll be fun."

"What is on your records anyway?"

"Some stupid shit I got myself into.. we'll talk about it later though."

"okay then.."

Spending almost 10+ hours for a week with my boyfriend is going to be amazing.
