Chapter 9: JCat 2.0

Chapter 9 (JOEY POV):

After I wrote the letter yesterday, I went over to Brittany's apartment and gave it to her. She said she'd pass it on for me. It's been a day and Katie hasn't answered, so I'm assuming she chose not to read it or she's done talking to me.

I still need to shoot a video for today, but I don't know what to do. My phone buzzes and I get a text from Cat, "hey, wanna hangout? it's been weeks!"

"Hey sure, wanna come over here?"

"Yeah great, I'll be there in 10."

I open the door, "Hey Kit-Cat!"

"Jooooeey!" Cat says giving me a hug.

"Wanna go chill in my room? I've been on Tumblr all day it's so addicting!"

"Same! Yeah let's go."

We decided we were going to film the Tumblr tag where you look up pictures of each other's names and your ship name to see what GIFs will pop up.

First we search Joey Graceffa. "Ooo look Joey it's your emo hair!" Cat says teasing me. "Omg that was so terrible, I'm glad I cut it." We go through more GIFs of Shoey that I'm tagged in and weird fan made pictures of me that are photo shopped.

Next we search Catrific and see GIFs all about "Shit Cat says" and jokes about LCS and LOL.

Lastly we look up JCat and Jatrific, which are our ship names. "Oh my gosh!" We both say laughing at the hundreds of GIFs of us kissing. We only kissed twice in a video, yet everyone feels the need to constantly reblog the same thing! "You guys are #cray!" It's a little weird that fans made videos of us kissing, in slow motion, and on loop for 10 minutes. That's a little creepy.

We scroll through and comment on a bunch of the Tumblr GIFs we see until I realize we've been recording for a half hour. "Okay guys this has been the extremely long Tumblr tag! Check out Cat's channel in the description below! May the odds be ever in your favor goodbye!" I get up and turn the camera off, starting to take apart the equipment.

"So what do you want to do now?" I ask Cat.

"Wanna watch a movie?"

"Only if it's the Hunger Games!"

"Duh! Let's do this!"

I go on my TV and put on Netflix. Luckily, they have The Hunger Games on Instant Streaming so we can watch it. "How about we take a shot every time Katniss and Peeta make awkward eye contact?" I suggest.

"Yes please! I mean on the train, in the little cave in the arena, there are just too many."

Cat and I watching the whole movie and took a ton of shots. By the time it was over, it was 11:30.

"I can never get sick of that movie!"

"Trust me Joey, I know." Cat says laughing. There's a minute of silence where we both stare at the rolling credits in silence.

"What happened to us?" I look up to see Cat looking at me. "I mean.. if it weren't for The Amazing Race we wouldn't have split. We could've had a stronger relationship."

"I um.. I guess, yeah. What are you saying?"

"I think you know what I'm saying Joey.." Cat inches closer to me. She plants a kiss on my cheek and kisses up until she reaches my mouth. What the fuck. I was not expecting this. At first she kisses my lips slowly. As I get more into the kiss I swipe over her bottom lip with my tongue deepening the kiss. Cat smiles, letting me in. She's always been a good kisser. I push her back against the wall as her legs wrap around my waist. We kiss for a couple minutes until she pulls away for air and rests her head on my forehead. I carry her over to the bed and we both lay there in silence for a minute. I look over to Cat who is staring at the ceiling, "I missed you."

She looks over at me and smiles. She gives me a peck on the lips and rests her head on my chest. Cat and I have a weird on and off relationship, but I guess we're on again.

Cat gets up to go to the bathroom. "Be right back." She comes back with my phone in hand. Oh, you left your phone in the bathroom. It says you got a text from that girl from the live stream. Katie, right?"
