Chapter 14: "Your hair looks sexy pushed back."

Chapter 14 (JOEY POV):

Katie fell asleep in the car. As we pull in the driveway, I quietly get out and walk to the other side. I pick her up bridal style and carry her to my room, gently closing the door behind me. I go back to the car and pull out her suitcase to bring it up to my room. I go to shut the door when Katie starts to wake up, "Mmm. Joey?"

"Yeah, I'm  here." I sit down on the edge of the bed next to her and look around the bedroom from my childhood.

"Remember this room? We'd always make prank calls, play video games, and pull all-nighters in here." I said.

"Yeah, I miss those days. When we could be kids and not worry about the bigger problems in life. It was so much simpler."

She leans her head on my shoulder as Nicole comes in.

"Hey Joey, dinner's almost- Oh! Hi Katie! I didn't realize you were here."

"Yeah, we're actually going to go out, thank you though." I shoot her a I'll-tell-you-later look. She nods and closes the door behind her.

"Where are we going?" Katie asks.

"Wherever you want, but we should go to a hotel because this is definately not enough space for the two of us. Especially if we're going to be here for 5 more days."

"No, Joey it's fine. You don't have to do that!"

"Katie. I have a single sized bed and a room that has barely enough space for one person, let's go." I say laughing.

"Okay, you've gotta point there."

"Okay sir, that will be $1,000 for your 5 night stay."

Katie looks at me, "Joey, you don't have to do this, really it's fine!"

"I want to." I hand the man my credit card.

"Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Graceffa, here are your two keys. We hope you enjoy your stay.."  I hear Katie giggle next to me and we thank the attendant and find our room.

I grab our bags and we head up to our room. Two twin beds, a dresser, TV, and an AC unit under the window. Typical hotel room. I wheel our bags inside and jump onto one of the beds. "Why thank you Mr.Graceffa"

"Anytime Mrs. Graceffa." I run past Katie to the beds.

"Weeee! I call this one!" I call out as I start to jump on the bed.

Katie laughs, "What are you 5?"

"Actually, I'm 6."

She laughs and we both jump on the beds going back and forth.

"Okay, it's 8:30pm and I don't feel like going out, let's order room service!" I say.

"I've always wanted to get room service as a little kid! That sounds perfect!" Katie says happily.

I call down to the front desk, "Hi, I would like to order room service. Okay, I would like two coca-cola's and two cheesburgers with fries. 15 minutes? Okay. Thank you."

"You remembered! That's my favorite!" Katie says.

"Of course I remembered! I'm gonna take a quick shower, okay?"

"Yeah, no problem."

I go in the bathroom and take a shower.

When I get out, I put on my boxers and pull my hair down like my old haircut. I walk out of the bathroom only wearing my boxers.

"Joey!!" Katie yells.

"What?"

"Put some clothes on! God you're such a slut." We both start hysterically laughing.

"You know you like it Katie! But fine." I pull on plaid pajama pants.

I walk over to Katie and sit next to her as she goes on her laptop.

"Ooh what are you watching?"

"A video you and Shane did together! You guys are so funny!"

"Oh god! hahaha" We sit there together and watch the Fan Fiction re-enactment we did on Shane's channel.

"Okay this is so uncomfortable to rewatch yourself pretend to have sex.." I say.

"Haha true. It's funny because you guys are purposefully not taking it seriously."

It's silent for a minute as she watches the last minute of the video. When it ends she clicks on an old video I did when I did Fleur's makeup. "Oh my gosh! I remember that day! Me and my emo hair, oh god."

"I think it's cute! But your hair does look sexy pushed back." Katie says in a low whisper as she pulls my hair up into a quiff like I normally wear it. Katie is inches away from my face as she runs her dainty hands through my hair. She inches closer and plants a soft kiss on my lips when someone knocks on the door.
