Lily's POV

"Why are you ignoring me?" I asked him but he didn't answer again. Ever since that day he's been avoiding any kind of contact with me again. It's been 3 days already. "I swear sometimes I can't even believe that you're actually 11 years older than me. I feel like your mom." He still didn't answer me and just sat on his stupid couch that was literally the size an airplane. I decided to give up and go to my room when the princess finally spoke.

"Are you dating him again?" I looked at him. He had his usual poker face on.

"No." I wanted to say it's none of your business but deep down, I didn't want to make him wanna ignore me more. I couldn't take it. And plus, after storming off to my room that day, I decided I don't wanna get back with Taylor. I think maybe it was because I didn't wanna block him if one day he decides to not get married.

"Then why did you go to dinner with him last night?" He averted his gaze back to his macbook.

"What? How do you know?"

"Why did you go out with him?"

"Are you following me now?"

"WHY DID YOU GO OUT WITH HIM?" He stood up from the couch as he yelled at me.

"You can't shout at me every time you ask stupid questions that I don't need to answer you jerk." I snapped back at him, not able to hold my anger back anymore.

"I can because you fucking kiss me one day and the next you're out with another guy."

"You're freaking GETTING MARRIED." I shouted at him. I even shocked myself. I never even knew my voice could get loud. I'm the quietest person I know.

He sat back down looking at the wooden floor. "I told you not to go out with anyone." His voice was low, and painfully hurt.

"You're getting married."I whispered, more to myself. I'm not even sure if he heard me. I turned on my heel to go to my room, realizing that tears are threatening to flood my cheeks, but I felt his strong arms hug me from behind as he nuzzled his head in my neck.

We stood like that for what felt like an eternity, and as cliche as it sounds I didn't want it to ever end.

"I promised him I'll give him another chance 3 days ago after our argument to get back at you but I regretted it as soon as I did it. I just went on the date last night because I felt obligated to. I wasn't gonna let it happen again." I have no idea why I was explaining myself to him. All I know was that I felt the need to do that.

"Sarah and I don't want this marriage Lily. But we have to..." I cut him off and turned to look at him.

"Look, if you wanna say that your mom asked you to do that because she wanted you happy, then you should give her that. Your happiness is not with Sarah so don't marry her. That's what makes you happy right? Then your mom's okay with it..."

"No." He droppedd his head. "There's something else. You wouldn't understand."

"Try me." I said as I frowned.

"I can't."

"So what? You expect me to watch you get married to someone else? And then what? I'm gonna be your mistress?" I was seriously losing my cool again. But at the same time I could not believe that in this short time we have gotten into this place. I hated this man's guts until 2-3 weeks ago. It's amazing how human heart works.

"No, the wedding's been pushed for now. I'm trying here Lily."

"Trying what?"

"To find a solution."
