I woke up later than I did usually. Everybody was speaking how they managed to finally speak with the Ark.
"What happened?" I questioned Clarke.
"We can speak with the Ark and seeing them too." spoke Clarke and she entered in a tent. Like a lost puppy I followed her inside.
"Tell me about the grounder. Can he provide any insight on how to survive winter?" asked Jaha on a small screen.
"We're doing everything we can prepare here. We're gathering nuts and berries, curing meats, digging for roots, but the truth is, we'll freeze before we starve." said the blonde girl.
"There's good news on that front. According to civil defense plans from before the war, there's an old emergency aid depot not far from the landing site. Here are the coordinates." said Marcus Kane. I knew him, he was a member of the council and was on my judgment day after I tried to ran away with Christian. He voted no at the proposal of killing me right then.
"In addition to supplies, it could provide shelter for the 100 and for the citizens down from The Ark." added Jaha.
"And what makes you think it's intact?" I asked.
"It was designed to withstand nuclear warfare."explained Kane.
"All right. It's worth a shot," I said looking at Clarke and she nodded slightly at me.
"Chancellor, I had to object. Project Exodus is under way. The kids should sit tight in their camp until the first dropship launches." said a blonde woman that I didn't knew but probably was a member of the council too.
"Even if everything goes without a hitch, the 100 will die from exposure before relief arrives. I'd like a moment with Clarke alone, please, and I know there's a line of parents waiting to talk to their kids. And, Kitty, stay close. I need to talk with you too." added Thelonius Jaha.
I get outside but Clarke followed me very soon."You spoke with Abby?"
"No." and she start to search for a boy called Dax.
I helped Monty and Jasper with the nuts but really it was boring. "Clarke, I think we need to get at that aid depot right now. I'd go." I told her after a few hours of working with Monty and Jasper.
"No way. Not alone."she said to me and I rolled my eyes.
"Then I will find someone to come it me." I entered to the dropship sighing.
"You're still here?" asked Bellamy to his sister.
"I'm not moving until you let me up there to see him."
"Get comfortable. I let him live. Isn't that enough?"
"He saved my life, Kitty's and yours."
"I know you see it that way, but..."
"That's the way it is." Octavia snapped at her brother.
"He's still dangerous."
"Only because of what you did."
"Whatever twisted connection you think you have with that animal, forget it. You don't get to see him. End of conversation."
"Why do you even care if I ruined your life? You should want me to go up there. Maybe you'll get lucky and he'll kill me, problem solved."
"Octavia, you know I didn't mean that," He turned around angry and then rolled his eyes at me. "when are you there, Princess?"
"Bellamy..." I started but he stopped me just there. "The answer is still no. I'm not talking to Jaha."
