"Clarke shouldn't be out there," exclaimed Finn as we were heading to the place we saw the Exodus ship has landed. There were just scraps and not only single proof of someone still alive.
"Have a little compassion. Her mom was on the ship. She's looking for answers," I mumbled lowly.
"Kitty, if you want to help her, find me the black box, hard drives, anything that will explain why the ship crashed." I rolled my eyes at Raven. There were so many carbonized skeletons that I only wanted to scream.
As reading my thoughts Bellamy shouted at me. "Stay sharp. Grounder retaliation for what happened on the bridge is coming, just matter of when."
"Can you blame them?" asked Finn looking at Bellamy and I scoffed. They came to that meeting with weapons and all we did was to protect ourselves.
"No. I blame you," replied Bellamy.
"Maybe if we didn't bring guns..." started Finn but Bellamy scoffed at him.
"If we didn't bring guns, we all would've been killed," interrupted his girlfriend.
"Why they're coming doesn't matter anymore. It's our job to be ready when they do. We're on our own now." I scoffed at Bellamy's remark and I approached to help Clarke to gather the things that didn't burn in the explosion and we could use back at the camp.
"Kitty, Clarke, stop!" screamed Raven suddenly and showed that all around us was a pinky liquid that smelled horrible.
"Rocket fuel?" asked Clarke when Raven came next to us.
"Hydrazine... Highly unstable in its non-solid form. If this stuff meets fire, we're all pink mist. Fire in the hole," screamed when she put a small rock on the liquid and threw far away were it exploded. "We need to clear the area." she added.
"Ok, then. We move in formation, no straggling, weapons hot. We got to get back before dark," exclaimed Bellamy and then he came next to me. "How are you?" he asked and I felt my cheeks becoming red.
"I... I am... fine, why do you ask?" I babbled.
"In the morning, when I finished my patrol, I heard you scream. It's your shoulder wound?"
"Uhm... no... I had a nightmare. This whole thing affected me more than I expected," he smiled softly at me.
"Be strong," he said and I chuckled.
"I never was..."
"Sure you are. Look at you... with everything that happened to you and your illness, here you are... trying to learn how to fight and helping everyone. You are more brave than you think." this time I smiled at him.
"You sound like my brother."
Bellamy kept the silence until we arrived back at the camp and I respected that. I still felt uncomfortable around him after I hugged him. And this become more uncomfortable after I heard him talking like Christian. I cleaned up a tear that appeared in the corner of my eye. Bellamy looked at me but he didn't say nothing and I smiled sadly at him. He nodded with a small move of his head and then he took the lead. It looked like a joke, seeing that we got here, understanding each other just from looks in just a few weeks.
But I guess that here everything happened more rapidly. It was already night when we returned in the camp and we certainly didn't expect what Miller told us: Murphy was back in the camp. So, I followed Clarke and Bellamy in the drop ship where was him: full of blood all over his body and trembling."Everyone but Connor and Derek out. Now!" shouted Bellamy.
"He claims he was with the grounders. We caught him trying to sneak back into camp." said one of the guys who remained inside.
