Arthur sat up in the bed and sighed. He hadn't eaten in a while. As it is he never ate much anyway. He grabbed the bag from the desk and began shuffling threw it. There was a small note inside.

Arthur,
If you have this something bad has happened. I want you to know it was not your fault if anything blame your father. You probably are in trouble and can no longer use the name you have grown up with so I would advise you change it. Aside from that inside the bag is a dagger. Take good care of it. Your last name is up to you now knowing your father. I am sorry if I am no longer here to see you grow up but remember the spells I taught you. In the bag is also a copy of a spell book that you should find useful my friend made it for me when I was young. As odd as it may seem what I am about to say please just do it. Don't try to find somewhere to live. Let your feet take you where you need to go. As long as you do that I know you will be safe. The wastelands are nothing like you ever experienced please be careful. I love you my little Arthur.

Tears threatened to fall from Arthur's face as he finished reading it. I will keep my name but, when around others like in a city or such I must go by another name. He grabbed a bag of blood from the back and began to feed and take a closer look at the dagger. He noticed it had a crest where the blade met the handle. A sun.... That was the crest of human royalty.... Along the blade were the words my light. 'How odd' he thought to himself.

"Thank you again Elizabeta." Arthur thanked.

"It's no problem. What are you going to do now?" She asked worriedly.

"I'm going to do as my mother said. Go to the wastelands and let my feet take me where I am meant to go." He shrugged.

"Are you sure you want to go alone amigo?" Antonio asked.

"Yes. I'll be fine don't worry." Arthur smiled.

He gave hugs to everyone and set off. Once he reached the gates he took a breath and began walking.

~~~
Before he knew it Arthur had finally found a grassy area. Relief washed over him at the thought of shade. He could see trees peeking over the horizon at the top of the hill. Quickly he began running up the hill. By the time he got closer to the top the sun had begun to set. "A barn!" Arthur said happily. He ran up and opened the doors carefully in case there were zombies inside with his dagger in his hand. Yet before he could react something grabbed him from behind.
He screamed loudly praying someone heard him. Suddenly there was a arm wrapped around his waist that pulled him back. He heard the groan of the zombie then the sickening sound of something plunging into flesh. He shut his eyes tightly and felt the arm push him to the floor away from them. Arthur hear the barn doors sliding on the dirt being closed softly.
"Hey. Are you okay?" A voice asked. He opened his eyes to see leaning over him was a handsome man with tanned skin and dirty blond hair with bright blue eyes hiding behind glasses.
"Y..yes." Arthur mumbled.
"What's your name?" He asked. Just as Arthur was about to answer the daggers in their hands began to glow.
"Hello." A voice said softly. Their heads whipped to the side to see a beautiful looking woman. "I am Iniko." She laughed.
"Iniko..." The other man mumbled.
"Yes and I have a proposition as you may say for you two." She smiled.
"What is it then?" Arthur asked.
"He just saved your life yes?" She spoke to Arthur as he pointed at Alfred. "You owe him your life and if you were unable to protect him you have to live with that." She looked the other man in the eyes. "You protected him right? Imagine after protecting him you lose him because you failed. Now if you sign my contact you both will have power to protect each other." She smiled.
"How?" The man asked skeptically.
"Simple. It's called a master-servant contract." She said with a smile. Arthur looked to the man he had just met both knowing they would probably stay living together. The wastelands can be unforgiving. Being with others was smarter. "Well?" She asked.
"Yes." Both men said together.
"Wonderful." She smiled. "Now the question who is what?"
The men looked to each other till the other man spoke spoke up. "I'll be the master."
"Well you are brave enough to speak for yourself so I don't see why not." Iniko said with a smirk.
