A knock on the door startled Elizabeta who was currently making Gilbert's food.

"Francis! Take over Gil's food for me!" She called.

"Okay!" A voice called back.

She wiped her hands on her apron she grown into the habit of wearing over her bright green dress. As she opened the door her jaw dropped.

"Allistor?" She exclaimed.

"Good 'ay love." He smirked.

Matthew paced back and forth in Alfred's room. He had refused to leave his brothers room unless to use the bathroom. Even his meals were delivered to the room or he would refuse to eat.

"Master Matthew." A voice called out.

"Who is there?" Matthew growled. "No matter what you say I will not leave!"

The woman walked out from the shadow that had hidden her.

"Lela?" Matthew said puzzled.

"Yes sir." She said in her same light tone as always.

Matthew started at her a moment. She was his mothers best friend and her attendant. "What is it?" He asked much softer now.

"Prince Alfred is safe. I made sure of it." She said with a soft smile of her face.

"What? How do you know!" Matthew asked eagerly.

"Your mother trusted a select few of us to watch over you boys in case something was to happen to her. I have scouts in nearby city's to alert me if they have seen him or well the new him." She explained.

"The new him?" Matthew questioned.

"He now had tanned skin and his hair is more brown." She explained.

"How?" Matthew questioned.

"Magic. Your mother contained a strong sense of magic. That's why you saw all the things Alfred couldn't, but Alfred has the power to control things. There is only one thing we know he can see."

"Ghosts." Matthew muttered.

"Correct."

"That's why he was so scared of them."

"Yes. He always panicked thinking the ghosts might hurt you. He was petrified at the thought of you getting hurt."

"Oh Alfie." Matthew muttered.

"Master Alfred had been sighted in the city of fortuna." She began. "Accompanied by a woman with long blond hair and emerald green eyes. They rode in on horses together."

"How far is fortuna from here?" Matthew asked quickly.

"They are no longer in the city sir. They were seen leaving later that day."

"Oh.." Matthew mumbled as the expression on his face fell. "Of course."

"It's currently believed they live in the wastelands."

"That's impossible! No one can live in the wastelands!"

"They seem to be."

"Incredible."

"Also there is something you mother never told you two. A prophecy was written many years ago stating..."

"Allistor what are you doing here?" Elizabeta asked.

"Father was the one who took you out of power." He said flatly as he leaned on the frame of the door.

"I don't like to speak of this-" Elizabeta began.
