Alfred and Arthur managed to find where Alfred dropped all the wood before and collected it again. As they began walking back they stumbled across a heard of horses. Arthur handed the wood to Alfred and began walking up to them.
"Arthur!" Alfred whispered panicky.
"Don't worry I know what I am doing." Arthur said softly.
Arthur walked into the area where the heard was. All the horses huddled together except for one. A dark black horse stood out from the rest. It began pacing in front of Arthur. It closed up the gap getting closer and closer. Alfred couldn't help himself if something happened to Arthur he didn't know what he'd do. Quickly he placed the wood on the floor and walked up. He stood between the horse and Arthur holding his ground. The horse reared up and Alfred grabbed onto the neck of the beast and pulled it back down. He glared at it getting the message across it was no longer in charge. The horse gave in and lowered its head. Arthur walked around Alfred and smiled to the horse softly. He walked up and ran his fingers threw its soft mane and began to pull the nots out. He then wiped the dirt and grime from the horses face. The rest of the small heard walked up slowly. There was a total of about eight horses, a colt and a filly.
"Come with us. We will give you a home." Arthur said softly. The horse neighed in response and began following Arthur. "Can you get the wood Alfred?" Arthur asked. Alfred simply nodded to shocked by how Arthur handled things to argue and did as he was told.
As the heard followed Alfred and Arthur back to the barn each horse was led into the fenced area next to the barn. Next to it was the stables so the horses could go in and out with no problem. Once Alfred and Arthur got inside the actual barn Alfred gave Arthur a quizzical look.
"It's a family thing." Arthur smiled.
"Can you tell me about them?" Alfred asked.
"Yeah let's just get the fire started." Arthur said softly.
Arthur placed the wood in the chimney as Alfred started the fire. They then climbed the ladder up to their loft and sat on the makeshift bed. Both blushed a bit over what the just did yesterday. It was Arthur who broke the silence. "So what do you what to know?"
"About you." Alfred said happily.
"Okay. I am Prince Arthur Kirkland of the vampiric nation. I have one sister and four other brothers. I am the fourth oldest from the boys. First it's Dylan, then Allistor who I'm guessing you saw murder your mother, then it's Conner and Erin, then me and finally my little brother Peter." Arthur explained. "I was closest with our mother and I was right next to her and watched as someone killed her.... My friend said it was his ex lover. Birdie is what he called him."
"Wait? Is your friend Gilbert?" Alfred asked.
"Yes why?" Arthur questioned.
"He's alive. Mattie's going to be so thrilled!" Alfred said happily.
"Alfred. Gilbert is married." Arthur said softly.
"What?" Alfred asked.
"Yes. He's married to my best friend Elizabeta." Arthur continued.
"Y..you mean he's-"
"No," Arthur cut him off. "Eliza won't let him become like us. She's worried he may actually burn in the light because of how pale he is."
"Oh." Alfred mumbled.
"Okay let's talk about you then?" Arthur suggested.
"Oh! Well I'm Prince Alfred F. Jones. I'm your younger brother to Prince Matthew William. Father didn't want us to have the same last names for whatever reason." He shrugged. "But I don't really care."
Arthur laughed and leaned forward to kiss Alfred softly. "Let's get you something to eat love you haven't had food in a while." Arthur said.
Alfred stood up and began shuffling threw his bag to find some dried meat and began to eat it.
"We're going to need to find a village soon to stock up on supplies." Arthur said worriedly.
"I've got some money we can use and we can sell things from around here." Alfred suggested.
"Alright. We go tomorrow then?" Arthur asked.
"Perfect! Wait!" Alfred said while looking for his book. Once he found it he flipped threw the pages till he found a spell to change ones appearance. "Alright give me a second!" Alfred mumbled a incantation then looked to Arthur. He looked the same to him.
"Remember you will still see me as myself." Arthur reminded him.
"Oh! Right." Alfred said.
Arthur grabbed the dagger and looked at his reflection to see it was a girl staring back at him. "Alfred what have you done!"
"Hold on let me get a mirror from somewhere!" Alfred mumbled then darted off. A minute or so later he came back caring a large reflective item. They looked into the mirror together and he almost started laughing. "Well at least it's less suspicious if it's a man and a woman then two men going to town." Alfred said attempting to sound positive.
"Shut it." Arthur dead panned.
"Okay okay I'm sorry!" Alfred said holding his laughter back.
"Let's just go look at stuff to sell." Arthur grumbled. He grabbed his cape and began looking around. Alfred did the same till they had plenty of stuff for the too sell. Alfred placed his in the bag and slung it by their bed.
"Can we buy a actual bed at the village tomorrow?" Arthur asked.
"For you love anything." Alfred smiled.
The two men quickly snuggled in each other's embrace and slept soundly waiting for tomorrow.
