Chapter six

The lunch bell rang and I leaped up so fast that I was the first one out the door. I had just had math and I hate math! But for the most part, I just wanted to go see Colton! After all I get to sit with him at lunch! I walked with Becca to lunch. On our way, I was wondering if I should tell her that I like Colton? She would probably find out when I sit with him.

But I wasn't sure if she liked him? I then said "I was just wondering if you liked anyone yet this year"? She said "Well I really like Colton Black"! My heart dropped. Not my best friend! This made me so mad!!!! I didn't know what I was gonna do?! Should I sit with him!? I then said "Oh cool", in an annoyed voice.

As we entered the lunch line, I said "Becca I'm sorry but I can't sit with you today". She looked at me almost as if I did something horrible then said "Why"?! At this point I didn't know what to say. I then had this great idea! I said "It's because I'm sitting with Addon". Addon was one of Colton's friends, so he would probably sit next to Colton which would cover up the fact that I was sitting with Colton. It was brilliant!

Becca said "Why Addon"? I said "Because he's just a friend of mine". She said "Umm okay"? I didn't really care what she thought about sitting with Addon as long as she didnt know I liked Colton. As we got our food, she said "Can you ask Colton if he likes me, because I think he sits with Addon sometimes"? I didn't know what to say about this but maybe that could be my excuse for hanging around Colton? I said "Sure". She said "Thanks"! Then when we had our food, we went to go sit down. Right away I saw Colton, he waved to me and I went over to his table and say right next to him. Little did I know, the long journey that waited ahead.
