Chapter two

For the most part, I recognized mostly everyone from last year. After I had everything from my locker, I was heading over to get a drink from the drinking fountain. I turned the corner and without looking, I had accidentally ran into someone. I looked up and saw the most beautiful face. There was a long moment as we just stared into each others eyes. The young boy had a mysterious, almost scary look to him. I liked it a lot. I know this sounds cheesy but I believed at that very moment, I was in love.

To break the silence, I quickly said I was sorry. He then said "Don't worry about it". In a rather deep, kind and welcoming voice. I blushed like an idiot. For some reason I couldn't stop staring at him. It was something about his eyes. They were so bright blue and had the slightest bit of green in them. They were the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen.

Finally he smiled and said "What's your name"? I anxiously said, "My name is Avery, Avery Carson". Almost immediately after, I asked "What's your name"? The handsome boy answered back, "Colton Black". What a mysterious name. I always loved the name Colton.

I then said "Well I have to go to homeroom but I will see you later Colton"! Again he smiled and said in the most soothing voice, "Sounds good". I then made my way to homeroom, which unfortunately, he was not in my homeroom but the one down the hall. As I sat down, I daydreamed of Colton's chocolate brown curly hair, his beautiful eyes and his most amazing voice. There was just something about him that made him stick in my head. Something about him that I couldn't forget. But mostly, just something about him that no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't understand.
