Chapter five

The next few periods were very boring. Sadly I didn't have any with Colton except for period 9, art class. I also had lunch with him but that's pretty much it. In between classes, I would usually walk with my friend Ashley and I decided to ask her who she liked. She had to think about it a second but then she looked up and said "That Colton kid, I think his name is Colton Black"? This made me very frustrated. Did everyone like Colton?!

Ashley ended up asking me who I liked, again I said no one. For some reason, I knew I should keep it a secret that I liked him. At least for now.

It was forth period now and I had study hall. I had two more periods till lunch but I couldn't wait that long to see Colton. I decided to get a locker pass for the off chance that I would see him in the hall way.

I walked down the front of the school and around. As I turned the corner to the stairs, I saw Colton walking alone down the stairs! I managed to say "Hey Colton"! He looked up and immediately smiled. "What are you up to"? He asked in his amazing voice. "I had to run to my locker, would about you"? I asked in a kinda quiet voice. He said "I'm skipping music". I looked up abruptly and asked a little louder this time, "Skipping"? "As in skipping class"? He said "Yea I don't really like school very much".

I understood that he didn't like school because I don't either but I would never skip a class. I try and keep my grades up so I can stay in gymnastics. It kinda bothered me that Colton was skipping but for some reason, I could look past that because I liked him so much.

I finally looked up and said "Yea I don't like school either". He then said to my surprise, "Would you like to sit with me at lunch"? I looked shocked! This made me so happy! Quickly I said "Sure"! He said "Great"! I then said "Well I have to go back to class but I will see you at lunch". He said "Okay see you soon"! Then we both went our separate ways.
