Chapter nine

Days went by and me and Colton got closer. But every time I mentioned anything about hanging out outside of school, he wouldn't be able to or he would have other plans. But there would always be some reason why we couldn't hang out outside of school.

One time I was at gymnastics, about a week ago, I had texted Colton asking if maybe we could go to the movies and he said he couldn't because he had plans. But he never said what the plans were, it's like he's hiding something. Maybe even something big.

I decided maybe he was just nervous, like I was when around him. It was weird because I felt comfortable with him but at the same time I was nervous and got anxious. I was kinda scared, it was very peculiar and weird. I was scared that I was gonna do or say something that would scare him away. I just didn't want to loose him.

I decided on letting him tell me when he was ready to hang out. I didn't want to push it. I was just getting a little anxious because my birthday was coming up and I was gonna do something with my friends. But I also wanted to do something with Colton. I'm just gonna wait though.

Finally it was lunch time and I met up with Becca. I've been sitting half with Colton, (Addon) and half with my other friends. To my surprise, Colton came over to my table and sat right next to me. Don't get me wrong, this was great and all but I knew Becca still liked him and I still don't want her to find out that I like Colton.

Colton reached for my hand and I held it but Becca was sitting across the table so she didn't notice. Everything was going great until it was a few minutes before the bell and we had been casually talking. All the sudden Colton leaned over and kissed me on the cheek. You should have seen Becca's face.
