Chapter 5 - Them Eyes

Natapos na rin ang first day ng shoot ng You're stuck with me and so far ang natape palang namin ay ang scenes sa school nina Hannah kung saan pinakita na baliw na baliw siya kay Luke.

That afternoon nang nagligpit na ang crew nag break kami ng mga actors and actresses at dinalhan kami ng lunch. May table sa tabi ng set at doon kami kumain. Nasa harap ko si Jordan habang kumakain.

We were silent for a while before he spoke up first.

"So, how was the first day of shooting for you?"

He looked at me and I looked at him too. I stared at his eyes na parang iba na naman yung kulay niya. Ngayon it's a weird kind of brown. Medyo natagalan ako ng 2 seconds para sumagot sa kanya dahil sa pagffigure out ko kung ano nga kulay ng mata niya.

"Ummm. It was fine. It was easier than I expected."

Liar. Kinabahan ako jusko ang gwapo mo kasi tapos pa lapit-lapit ka pa ng mukha sa akin.

"Hmm." Sabi niya na parang patanong.

"Bakit?"

"I found it quite challenging." sabi niya without looking at me this time.

"Bakit naman?" Sabi ko.

He looked up to me.

"I don't exactly know."

Nagtitigan kami ng mga 5 seconds. Sobrang nawala ako sa mga mata niya. Tapos bigla nalang na parang di niya dapat ako tinitigan, napalingon siya sa ibang direksyon.

Bumalik kami sa pagkain at after a while bumalik na naman ako sa pagtitig sa mga mata niya. Hindi ko alam kung bakit pero sobrang nagwwonder talaga ako sa mga mata niya. It's like I'm drawn to them or something. Jusko naman kasi ang ganda ganda naman ng mga mata niya.

He looks at me too and we hold that look for a little while.

"What are you thinking about?"

"The color of your eyes."

Oops. Jusko naman Noreen sa sobrang stupid mo nasabi mo tuloy. Tanga.

There was this confused look on his face.

"What? Why are you thinking about the color of my eyes?"

Napamura ako sa isip ko dahil wala na akong escape route sa usapang 'to. Jusko chill lang Noreen. Give it your best lie.

"Kasi I'm kind of trying to umm, figure out what color they are. I can't seem to point it out."

K that sounded believable.

He flashed me that smile that makes girls melt and laughed.

"Why are you so curious?" Sabi niya na medyo nagttease.

"Wala lang. Nagwonder lang ako."

"I see."

He stared at me for a while. Hindi ko maimagine what he could be thinking by now.

"So? Ano ngang kulay? Di ko kasi magets parang purple na brown na ewan. Para siyang nagcchange."

Parang stinudy niya yung face ko for a while like he was trying to figure something out.

Then he stood up and went closer to me and sat on the seat just next to mine.

"Want to take a closer look, then?"

He leaned in closer and I swear it felt like I was out of air. Like fish out of water gasping for air.

"Ummm."
