[Chapter 19]

(Flaire)

"Flaire..."

I heard the call of a very familiar voice. I stayed quiet and acted asleep.

"What's wrong with me?"

His voice was very worried and sounded glad at the same time. I didn't know how to act so I quickly sat up and was shocked to find him so close to me.

I couldn't speak. He quickly looked and walked away, when he realized I was so close to him. Shock marked his face.

"W-What's wrong with you?" Finally, I found my voice.

"Tha-that was nothing, you heard what I said?" Ethan asked. Why am I feeling so uncomfortable?

"Yeah" I muttered. I stood up and walked to him. I touched his forehead with the back of my hand.

"W-Wait, what are you, what are you doing?" He asked as he was starting to panick. His cheeks glowed red. He was definitely uncomfortable of me too.

"Checking if you have a fever. You asked what's wrong with you, right? so I'm just checking." I explained.

He held my hand and said "Nothing is wrong with me. Come on, breakfast is served. Your mom is calling you." He let go of my hand as the redness of his cheeks fade.

I nodded in response. He walked out of my room. Leaving me like a dumb person who doesn't know what to do.

Lub...Dub...Lub...Dub...

I held my beating chest. Why was I...feeling this way?

I finished taking a bath and walked down. I saw mom and Ethan having quite a conversation in the kitchen. I hid behind the Door.

I heard laughs and giggles coming from the kitchen.

"Don't worry Ethan, I'm sure of that. You just felt it" mom said to Ethan. I stopped listening and walked inside. They suddenly stopped the good conversation they're having a while ago.

"Why stop the conversation? You two are having fun right?" I said in a mocking tone. Before I stepped inside they're talking freely then after I did, everything became an awkward silence between the three of us. What the chocolate chip just happened?

"That was nothing anyway" Ethan excused.

"Ok" I replied. I looked at him as he looked at me. His eyes bored with mine.

"Eheem, ok...come on let's eat" mom said. The word "eat" interrupted my thoughts. I just remembered that I was really hungry.

I quickly looked away and sat at the chair. Along with my mom and Ethan. Wait, where's dad?

"Mom, where's dad?" I asked.

Mom sighed and said "You know your father, he wokes up early in the morning and leaves for work" mom said in a mocking tone.

"Well then, after this. Flaire, what are you planning to do?" I was alarmed. What am I planning to do? Can I just say "Nothing"?

"I-I don't know?" a said, not sure of my answer. "That's not an option. Tonight is the j's prom right? Sure you have something to do." mom said while chewing the stake she just ate.

"I have nothing to do" I said, straight. Mom looked at Ethan. I just sat here and stayed quiet while these two exchange eye contacts. It's like they're talking eye-to-eye.

After we ate, I decided to do the dishes. But before I could pick one plate up, Ethan dragged me out of the house.

"What the? Hey! I'm doing the dishes!" I yelled. Mom walked to me. "Don't worry Flaire, I'll do it" Mom said with a wide smirk on her face. What the h*ck are they planning?

"Mom! that's my chores" I reasoned. "It's fine. Go and have some fun ok? I can do it on my own Flaire. Bye" I was about to talk back when he carried me.

"What the chip?! Put me down! Put me down!" I screamed as I kept hitting him in his chest. I looked at him and he just smirked at me. What the h*ck? Is he scaring me or what?

I felt all my blood in my cheeks as he carried and put me down at his motorcycle. I couldn't complain anymore. How did I got stuck at this situation?

"Where are we going?" I asked instead of complaining anymore. "We'll go back to the mansion." He said as he rode the motorcycle and started the engine.

I nodded in response.

We arrived at the mansion exactly noon time. As we entered. everyone was here.

The first one to approach the two of us was nic. "Hey, where did you two go? We've been worried since...Monday" Nic said as worry filled his voice.

"Sorry, we're punished and the headmaster gave us an activity for 5 days. Since she doesn't want any detention." Ethan and I both explained.

Clint stood up and walked towards us. "What were you doing in 5 days?" He asked irritated. I got scared so I hid behind Ethan. I couldn't even speak. Ethan, you go confront this one...pls! >_<

Ethan looked at me and gave me a smirk. What the h*ll, did he thought I was scared? No way!

"We were the planners for the upcoming event---the j's prom. We were given that kind of activity as a punishment for being late. The headmaster didn't give us detention because of the upcoming event so they kinda got busy at things. So we were chosen." Ethan explained. Wow, that was long.

I found myself staring at Ethan for no reason so I quickly looked away and wandered my sight somewhere else. My eyes caught Nic looking at me and giving me a playful smile. I just returned him a puzzled look.

"Girls..." I was alarmed when Ethan called girls. Hey, I'm a girl to you know.

"Go fix her" Ethan said as he pointed at me without even looking. As quick as a cheetah. Jessy grabbed my left shoulder and Jen grabbed my right shoulder. They dragged me away from them. By the way, melody just followed us.

They dragged me all the way to jessy's room. "Okay, what should we do first?" jessy asked while looking at me head to toe.

"Wait, what are you planning?" I asked them. "Wanna get ready for the j's prom? We'll prepare you for that." Jen explained What the h*ck? I didn't ask for that!

I froze to where I was standing. "W-Wait, who said that you can do this?" I asked them suspiciously. "By means of what Ethan said "go fix her" He meant, we need to prepare you for the j's prom." What the...I need justice! I don't want to attend that stupid event! I was about to react again when they dragged me to the chair. They pushed me to make me sit down. I mean, who does that?!

Please save me! I really appreciate what Ethan is doing for me but I really can't go, not without concealing my abilities. I don't want to hurt anybody! And worse, I don't want to experience this. A lot of things happen at the j's prom. So I don't wanna see what's gonna happen to me. I can already imagine what...
