[Chapter 23]

(Clint)

"Well thanks to your funny joke he's mad at me! Why would you do that?...Why?" She left me frozen. I couldn't even move. She teleported herself and that brought me back to reality.

I hurried to my car and drove as fast as I can to the party.

I arrived and the only thing that I saw...was her. Everything was ruined. Everyone was gone. I saw her standing in the middle of the ruined and destroyed ball room. What happened here? Flaire what did you do?

Around her was a fading red light. I was facing her back, so I couldn't see her face. As the redness around her fade away. She fell down.

I ran towards her. As soon as I was near her, I quickly looked at her. The last red light came from her eyes. What happened to you Flaire?

I was alarmed when Ethan appeared. "What happened here?" He asked. He looked around Then to Flaire. He bent his knees and waved away a few strands of her hair from her face. "I'm sorry" He whispered into her ears.

Then after that...she woke up.

(Flaire)

I woke up to the sound of a soft voice that whispered into my ear. His breath was touching my ears.

That simple "I'm sorry" woke my sleeping soul in darkness. I was just lost in darkness...again. I didn't know what happened.

I sat up and looked at the guy looking at me seriously and was just inches away from my face. My sight was blurred but I could recognize his figure. As my sight was clear, bloods ran up to my cheeks. I quickly moved away.

"W-W-what h-h-happened?" I asked while stuttering.

"You destroyed the party." Jessy said seriously while looking at me. She just arrived.

"Me?" I asked them. Why would I do that?

"Guys, let's not blame Flaire here. Ethan.. you just saw her how she destroyed this place right?" Nic asked to Ethan. "Yes" He answered.

"How did she do it?...How...Anything different?" Nic asked seriously while exchanging glares at Ethan. "Nope, didn't saw anything different. She destroyed it" What?...how could I...Why would I do that?

"*sigh* Fine. I can fix this. Flaire...your very lucky that no one has arrived yet. So there's still time to fix this." I got confused.

"What?" I asked. Nic looked at me and smiled.

Ethan held my hand and that made me uncomfortable. I was still stuck, still sitting on the floor. Everyone held hands too.

In just one second...everything was...cricling around. But there is this one circular door with a white aura showing. It displays the party...that I destroyed. Time traveling?

I accidentally stood up when I just saw a girl with an evil smile that glared at me with full of hatred. The girl actually...looked a lot like me. But with a different kind of...eyes. Everything was disturbed when Ethan called.

"Flaire..." I looked at Ethan who was holding my hand. His eyes are narrowed and it looked like...he was worried. "Are you alright?" He asked with a soft voice.

"Did you see?" I quickly asked as I wrapped my arms around his arm. "See what?" He asked me. He didn't see it? Did anyone even saw?

"Nothing" I said as I shook my head a couple of times. I looked at the door and the girl was gone. Where did she go?

I was about to let go when Ethan tightened the grip of his hands on mine. I looked at him "Don't let go" He said. I nodded in response. We all went inside the circular door and it made me flinch when I realized that I was back to where I was...at the gate of the school.

I was alone. Ethan who was holding my hand, isn't by my side anymore. I didn't move for a while. I was still shocked at what happened and did Ethan disappeared by my side.

I stood there for a while. I stared at nothing. So much thoughts and questions in my mind that I didn't even noticed that someone was hugging me from behind.

"Flaire..." He said with a broken voice. Ethan... Tears flowed down my cheeks as he said my name.

"I'm sorry..." He said. I was trying to face him but he didn't let me. I felt a little cold on my shoulder. Are you crying?...I'm sorry too Ethan. I want to tell those words but I couldn't.

We were alarmed when students started arriving. Me and Ethan automatically made a space between us.

"Let's go?" Ethan said as he lend a hand to me. I took it and answered "yes" with all my heart.

Confused as ever...terrified...blinded...I just got the feeling that I have to forget all of it just today.

For once again...the smile that Ethan gave to me made my heart skip a beat.

Lub...Dub...Lub...Dub...

I smiled when I saw Ethan and Flaire was together again. We always see them together. We always visit the ballroom where they were to check them. I knew that they were happy with each other.

As my sight wondered around to the looks of the ballroom...Clint walked towards me. It hurt me to see him but I pretended that I didn't saw him.

"Care to dance?" He said as he lend his hand to me. I was shocked so I didn't know what to answer. What do I say? He wore the smile that melted my soul. In hurt I still managed to smile. But the hurt I felt? Fade away slowly.

I smiled and took his hands and said "yes".

We walked to the center as the music starts. For me, it felt magical and strange...but I love it.

Dancing through the night...it seemed like endless, and I couldn't hide myself to like it.

For what seemed so magical to me for the first time...it was this night.

I wrapped my arms around him and whispered to his ear "Nick..."

"Hmm?" He mumbled.

"Thanks for giving the time for this" I said as I hugged him closer while a wide smile was printed on my face.

Moments on...He took off my arms and looked at me with a warm smile. "Come on." He said.

"Where?" I asked.

"To the garden, I've got something to tell you" He said looking so uncomfortable. To his expression...I got worried foe no reason.

"Sit here" He said as he patted a space beside him on a bench. I didn't want to hear what he was gonna say, but I had no choice. I did what he said and sat beside him.

"You know what?" He said as he rested his arms on the bench and looked up to the stars.

"What?" I answered.

"I have something to prove to you." What now?

"What do you need to prove to me?" I asked,  drowned in curiosity. "Just something...something I haven't done before." He said as he looked at me with that warm smile.

I didn't get it clearly but all I know...is that...

This night...was something unforgettable.
