[Chapter 21]

(Flaire)

The three stepped out from the closet and I almost fell over my heels when I saw them. They all look like...angels.

"You guys...all look beautiful." I said to them. With jessy wearing a cocktail dress that is powder blue, brought her skin to glow. Her hair that is fixed at a braid like a crown, made her look more pretty.

Jen on the other hand, was wearing a black dress. A little cleavage at the back, but it brings out her beautiful shape. Her hair was curled which made her look more sexy along with her outfit.

Melody...was wearing a mini dress of purple. Her hair was straight that made her look matured. Her hair was usually curly, since birth. So this is definitely a new look for her.

Well for me...nothing changed. I just wore a mini dress of bluish color and a pair of heels that I never tried to wear before. My hair is curled a little. And...

"Oh my..." Jessy started as she stared at my eyes. "What? What is it?" Melody asked as she walked infront of me too. Jen followed afterwards. They all stared at me and all they could say was...

"Oh my..."

"Oh my goodness."

I was bothered at the way they looked at my eyes straight. So I asked. "What? What's wrong guys? Did something happened?" I asked.

"Is your eyes have been like...a little reddish?" I stopped at jessy's sentence. "What?" I asked.

"Nothing" They all said before leaving me and started putting blusher and make up on their faces. What's wrong with them?

(Ethan)

I'm set to go to the party when I left my room. Nic is still with me.

"Your not gonna go fetch jessy?" I asked teasingly. He looked away and blushed.

"W-Why would I?" He asked, hinding his worry and shyness about her. "It's because she's your dance, right?" I said in sarcasm.

"Forget about it, will you? I'm just worried about Clint." Why did he squeezed in on our topic?

"Because he can't do it" I got lost at his words. "What, what do you mean?" I asked.

"He likes Flaire" I stopped. Melody was right...I thought, she was just joking around.

"What's wrong?" Nic asked that made me came back at reality.

"Nothing, forget about it." I said to him, coldly. I started to walk again.

"Not that, what did Melody said to you?" He asked. "She said nothing" I excused before gaining on him.

(Flaire)

The three finished my make up at last. I thought were gonna be doing this for so long.

After they've finished. They all asked if they wanna go out now. "Guys, let's go?" jessy asked.

"Ok" Jen replied. "Fine, we're all set aren't we?" Melody asked in a playfl tone.

"Let's go!!!" Jessy shouted while waving her arm up like a lieutenant of soldiers.

I'm the only one who didn't answer of course.

We found all the guys waiting at the doorway. "It's been years, it's about time you guys came out." Clint said irritated.

"Were girls, we care for our looks. You guys don't, so stop complaining, you don't know how girls role. Ok? You should say thanks though, we're here now." Jessy defended. Jen, on the side of Melody. I noticed that she's not herself.

She stared at Clint like she wants to tell him something. I can feel that she was uneasy.

My eyes searched for the one that I am dancing with tonight. Ethan...

I looked around bit I didn't saw him. All I could see was Melody, Jen, jessy, Clint and Nic. Where is he?!

"So guys...are we using Clint's pick up?" jessy asked. "No, it's a j's prom. No one attends the event, grouped. For now, we gotta go and find our own ride" Nic explained to her.

Jessy nodded. Where the chip did Ethan go?! He's really dead if he didn't show up! My head keeps tilting around, looking for Ethan. But no matter how hard I look. I couldn't find him.

"So guys...have you seen Ethan?" I asked. "No, after our conversation he left me" Nic said. I just nodded as everyone started to scramble around. They were getting ready to go to the event now. He said he was gonna be here! But where is he now?!

(Jessy)

Where the h*ll is Ethan?! Can't he see that Flaire is waiting for him?! I kept staring at Flaire. She was panicking.

I looked around to see if Ethan was really here. But he's not. My thoughts were disturbed when Nic walked towrds me and stood by me. "Let's go?" He asked.

"What?" I asked, giving him a puzzled face. "*sigh* Can I..." He held my left hand. "Be your dance partner tonight?" He said as he was looking away. Why can't he look straight at me?

"W-Why would I----" I trailed off. "Just tonight...please be mine" He whispered into my ears. I was shocked that I didn't notice he was hugging me. "Please..." he said with a begging tone.

Lub...Dub...Lub...Dub... What's this? What am I feeling? I'm confused...I feel defeated. I feel...weak. What's wrong with me?

I really decided to say "no" but my mouth betrayed me. Instead of saying no, my mouth whispered "yes..."

As he hugged me, I can feel his beating heart. It was fast, like he was nervous. "Thanks jessy" He whispered. As he was saying my name...I felt my cheeks warm and it gave me chills. He always called me by my name...but why did the way he spoke my name...gave me a numerous questions about how do I feel tonight.

But one thing is sure...This night...is gonna be the weirdest and the happiest.
