As she walks down the hallway at school she can feel everyone staring at her, gossiping about her, secretly laughing at her. Of course they were doing that, the mixed girl decided to be even weirder by dying her hair pale pink. It wasn't supposed to be pink, it was supposed to be lilac but her dark hair made it pink instead. Her new hair color was just one more reason for her classmates to torment her. Riley was not your average high school freshman, she's a computer genius who's always repairing broken computers for her classmates as a living. Riley was also in the system, not the one for punks in juvie but the one for foster kids. Riley's mother died when she was in middle school while her father was in prison. Riley's foster parents wanted to adopt her so bad but her father wouldn't surrender custody and refused to take it to family court. When Riley wasn't being picked on for all that, she was being tormented for everything else about her. Someone please save me from this mess called my life, college can't come fast enough for me.
