Chapter 13: The Rescue

Third person POV

Everyone was in the lair discussing the rescue mission to Dimension X. Leo was discussing strategy with Mikey since, Mikey knows the most about Dimension X. Donnie and Riley were saying goodbye with a passionate kiss. "Be safe ok?" said Riley, her pink hair shining under the soft glow of the neon lamp in the lair. Donnie smiled at his girlfriend. "I will, it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours Earth time, probably a couple of days in Dimension X due to the time shift. Anyway you and April will stay here with Master Splinter working on a mediation lesson. You might want to teach him yoga while you're at it, I'm sure he'd love to learn how." In another room April and Casey were saying goodbye as well. "I wish I could go with you guys but I know it's safer for the baby if I'm here. Just don't get yourself killed, this is only your second mission to Dimension X and I don't need the baby to lose their father if the mission fails." said April. Casey kissed his wife passionately. "Hey don't worry Red, it takes a lot to take out Casey Jones."

Raph was quiet which was unusual for him. For once in his life he had actually done meditation due to anxiety about the mission. Every time he'd try to sleep he'd dream about Mona, she was in pain, regretting leaving him without warning, breaking his heart into a million pieces a long time ago. The dreams had stopped not long after she dumped him, but lately they were coming back stronger, more terrifying. "Something on your mind Raphael?" Master Splinter asked him. "It's those dreams again, they're haunting me, keeping me from sleeping. I've tried meditation but it only temporarily helps me." Master Splinter smiled. "My son the more you practice at it, the more it will help you."

"Guys it's time to head out!" Leo called.
Upon hearing that all the turtles and Casey hopped into the portal to Dimension X equipped with their special atmosphere converters in place so that they could breathe the air.

"Ok guys, the building Kraang Prime's private dungeon is in is heavily guarded." Mikey began. "So here's how we do this, once we're in the building Donnie and I will hack the security system and access the blueprints which should reveal the location of the private dungeon. Raph and Leo will handle the Kraang droids in the surrounding areas. Casey will be a lookout for me and Donnie." He continued. "Tell me again why we're listening to a dork like you?" Raph interrupted. "Because, Mikey is a genius down here. He knows this place as well as a Kraang." Leo explained.

Soon the guys and Casey were in the building where the private dungeon lay hidden from the majority leader of Dimension X. "Uh, guys I hate to ask this now that we're in Dimension X, but do you really think we can trust Kraang Sub-Prime on this private dungeon thing? The guy is a master of disguise and deception." Casey asked. "Well Riley said that he was telling the truth since he assumed he was going to die no matter what he told us. Besides if what he said was true then he's probably the only subordinate who knows the location of this place in case Kraang Prime was defeated." Donnie replied.

"Hey guys be quiet! We're in the building now. It's time to split up. You know what to do." Mikey called out. Raph and Leo ran off to fight Kraang droids, while Mikey and Donnie went into the control room. "Ok, Raph, Leo somewhere near your location is a hidden teleportation chamber that will take you guys directly to the private dungeon. Donnie will hack the system to get more information on this thing."

"Ok Raph, on your left there's a keypad similar to the ones for the cells we've encountered before. What your going to want to do is find a blue Kraang droid and use it to use the scanner built in. It has to be the actual Kraang and not the robotic suit." Donnie explained. Subordinate level Kraang used to access what is known as the device called a Kraang scanner attempted! Security protocols activated! "I said to use a Kraang in a blue suit not a clear suit! Leo you'll have to take care of it! Mikey I need you to disable the alarm!" "You got it Donnie!" "Raph! Switch me!" "With pleasure Leo!" After a few minutes the blaring stopped. Just then the blueprints Mikey was accessing changed to a different set of blueprints.

A door opened in the control room. Welcome Kraang! Please step into the device known as the teleportation chamber that leads to the place known as the dungeon. "Come on Casey we're heading to the dungeon!" Donnie called out. Mikey, Donnie and Casey piled into the teleportation chamber. You have arrived at your desired area. With that the door to the teleportation chamber disappeared as another door appeared. Leo and Raph stepped out.

"Time to move on guys. Leo, time to take over. I've done my part." said Mikey. "Ok. Donnie how far do we have to go until we find Mrs O'Neill?" "According to these blueprints we're on level three of the dungeon. Mrs O'Neill is located level one at the very end of the hall. It will take at least two hours." "That seems like an awful long time, Donnie." Raph commented. "Yeah seriously, Casey Jones wants to see some serious action." Casey chimed in. "Ok that's enough guys we've got work to do." Eventually the guys make it to level one. As they reach the end Raph stops dead in his tracks.

"No it can't be! Mona! Mona Lisa! No! How could this have happened?!" "Raph it's been 7 years since you last saw each other, you couldn't have known." Leo tried to explain. Raph snatched the Kraang from Leo's belt and holds it up to the scanner in front of Mona's cell. "Raph! No! We're here to rescue April's mother! Not Mona!" Casey yelled. "Shut up Casey! I won't lose her again!"

The doors open but Mona doesn't come out, instead it's the Newtralizer. "See what you did Raph?! You released Newtralizer by accident!" Leo yelled. "Donnie! You've got the blueprints you get her out! Mikey! Stop Newtralizer before he does anything!" Raph ordered, tossing the Kraang at Donnie. As soon as Mona was out of the chamber, things got bad, while Raph was having a romantic moment with Mona, trouble brewed. "Guys we have a problem here, Newtralizer found his weapons in a hidden compartment in his cell. He literally punched a hole in the wall to get his tech!" Mikey cried out.

"As punishment for you banishing me from our home planet! I will destroy you and your terrapin friends! Rocca! Rocca!" Newtralizer yelled. He took his plasma gun and fired at Mona. She dropped down to the floor lifeless. "Mona! No!" Raph cried out. He grabbed one of Leo's plasma edged blade katanas. "Raph stop!" Leo called out. "Mikey! Take your nunchaku and restrain Newtralizer. Then close your eyes, you won't want to see what happens next." Raph ordered. After Mikey restrained Newtralizer, Raph cut his translation collar off so that he wouldn't be able to hear him beg for mercy. "Mikey stop him!" Leo cried out. "No Leo! If having a temper tantrum will help Raph then I won't stop him!" With a quick slice Newtralizer was beheaded forever gone. Raph took the plasma gun from his lifeless hands and set it to obliterate. He shot Newtralizer's remains, after they disappeared he went to Mona and shut her eyes. He looked away as he shot her remains.

As they moved on Raph was silent. They freed Mrs O'Neill and went home. Once they were back at Kirby O'Neill's apartment, it was time to go home. "Come on guys time to leave the happy family be." Leo called. Back in the apartment Riley and Splinter were waiting for everyone. "My sons, was the mission a success." Master Splinter asked. "Yes Master Splinter, but there's a problem. You see...." Leo goes on to explain everything. "Raphael! In the dojo with me now! The rest of you wait here until I call you. "Will Raph be okay?" Riley asked Donnie. "I honestly don't know." Was all Donnie could reply...
